I don't care where you claim to live. The bottom line with you is you're rooting for a democrat victory.
No, I'm not. I hope the GOP wins control of both houses of Congress by as large a margin as possible. And I'd probably prefer a Trump win although I can't vote for him.
But either way, I view discussion forums as a place for honesty and interesting discussions, not as some rah-rah rally for politicians. Just because I prefer one candidate to another doesn't mean my preferred candidate never says or does stupid things that deserve to be criticized.
You want this place to have the atmosphere of a campaign rally, where everyone is constantly just applauding "our candidate" and never saying anything negative. That is sometimes possible when "our candidate" has positive, interesting ideas that make for good discussion. Because then, we can discuss those good ideas.
But when a candidate's only real selling point is that he's not the other guy, and has no interesting and innovative ideas or comments of his own...what's to discuss? Trump isn't an ideas guy, and Vance has ideas but they're generally not good. And that is frustrating as hell for those of us who are actual small-government conservatives who would like to be able to support those policies in this election. Unfortunately, nobody is running on them this time around.
