Not having been in the Senate for 100 years like Biden doesn't mean he's inexperienced. He certainly understands economic issues, having worked for or founded investment firms. While he wasn't in combat, he was a Marine, and I think that counts for something when it comes to issues of national security.
It's also my firm belief that the more non-lifetime-politicians we get in D.C., the better. Rand Paul is a medical doctor, as are a few current members of Congress. My former congressman, David McKinley, is a professional engineer. That's okay with me. No more John Kerrys, Joe Bidens, Nancy Pelosis, etc., who never really held jobs in the real world, but only spent their entire adult lives rising up the political ladder.
