Agree with your post. A couple of things:
The apparent lack of manifesto is curious. So too is his apparent absence from social media or his reported lack of serious political leanings. His dead end trails seem unbelievable.
The rangefinder shows a target specific intent - he wasn’t planning to spray a large crowd. But, it may show his inexperience as a shooter. At that distance, his point of aim required no adjustment. Pie plate shooting would be easy-peasy. I know I read he had purchased 62 gr FMJ BT rounds which may have even flatter trajectory at that distance.
So many things are jus weird.
Agreed. There is a lot there that just does not flange up.
Regardless of bullet drop, point of aim can be shifted with adjustments to the optical sight to point of impact at a given range. A couple of shots to check zero, and the rifle is ready to use. Similarly, knowing the ballistics of the round, the shooter can aim slightly higher or lower to compensate. Obviously, the point of aim can be shifted slightly to compensate for wind drift, too. As a hunter, I have done so often.
There is no debate that had Trump not turned his head and leaned slightly forward in doing so to see the graphic, it would have been a lethal shot.
God is not done with Mr Trump yet, and once again he has been used to expose incompetence (and quite possibly engineered evil) in the people who are supposed to be working for us all.
