Is this a joke? DC Democratic Congresswoman Norton is citing DC gun laws to call for additional gun control. Murders in DC were up 36 percent last year despite these laws. She's also randomly talking about lawful concealed carry in DC during a hearing about Butler, PA.

There is no way I believe that he was the shooter, getting that close to killing Trump with an old inexpensive AR using a crappy red dot sight. So what it comes down to is we will never know who the shooter was or what he was actually using that day.

Very little will come of this, unfortunately. Likely, perfidy is hiding behind a mask of incompetence. (ain't DEI beautiful? plausible deniability is written in!)

One side is angry because the shooter(s) got a shot, the other because he missed.

Conservatives would not shoot a President (or candidate), simply because it would invigorate the ever-present effort to further infringe the RKBA.

There are political theatrics on both sides, but Ms. Cheatle is stonewalling the congressional inquiry.  She refuses to provide a date on which she can forward the most basic information.  If I'm Trump, I hire my own security, and tell the Secret Service to stand by.
