For instance - Identifying ONE shooter does not tell you if there are others. Leaving him in the sights and buying time for observation in all directions has a valid purpose.

And the ground guys might be worried about what action will do - For instance, it might be that a shooter goes off in order to drive the primary toward a bomb... They think like that... So the SS dogpile him and move him out.. right into an explosion. So situational awareness has its value... And its price.

Trump was uncooperative in their attempt to safely move him. He forcefully stood up and waved his arms. There is only so much the SS can do. Having stairs to the podium was also a mess. They couldn't easily move as one while trying to navigate down the stairs. That's where the ladies were having a lot of problems.

JUST IN: The building that Thomas Crooks climbed on top of and fired from was the staging area for the police tactical team according to ABC News.

Photos I've seen prior clearly show a ladder type contraption secured flush to the side wall of the building...plus a plank across to adjacent structure.

I had been hunting for several years with a Rem 700, I had rebarreled in 6.5x47 Lapua. So for my first AR-15, I chose the 6.5 Grendel. The Grendel only gives up 200 fps from the Lapua, shooting the same bullet as the Lapua.

JUST IN: Thomas Crooks took out a rangefinder which was noticed by a sn*per before the rally before he "disappeared" and returned with a backpack. 
 
Let me say that again: Sn*pers saw Crooks pull out a **rangefinder** to calculate the distance to the target and still didn't stop him.

According to CBS News, sn*pers observed Crooks checking out the structure, taking out a rangefinder, and later returning with a backpack.

Local law enforcement says Crooks kept "disappearing" before he climbed on the roof.

"One of the sn*pers inside saw Thomas Matthew Crooks outside and looking up at the roof, observing the building..." CBS reported.

"Crooks came back, sat down and looked at his phone. At that point, one of the sn*pers took a picture of him. Crooks took out a rangefinder and the sn*per radioed to the command post."

"Crooks disappeared again and then came back a third time with a backpack. The sn*pers called in with information that he had a backpack and said he was walking towards the back of the building."

Officers now think Crooks used an air conditioning unit to get on the roof.

The Secret Service is pointing their fingers at the locals and the locals are pointing their fingers back. Now a local Pennsylvania station is reporting that local law enforcement spotted Crooks nearly HALF AN HOUR BEFORE the shooting and called it in. Why wasn’t any action taken?

The FBI somehow says they still don’t have a motive. The Pittsburgh FBI Field Office is running point on this investigation- the same field office that buried the Biden bribery tip in Ukraine. And Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle says she won’t resign, but will do an internal investigation. How do we know her internal investigation isn’t going to be a cover-up? Under her watch, the Secret Service destroyed their texts from January 6 and blew up the White House cocaine.

BREAKING: A police counter sn*per team was *inside* the building that Thomas Crooks shot from *during* the sho*ting according to the New York Post.

This just keeps getting more insane.

According to sources who spoke with the Post, Crooks was literally climbing on top of the building where the "watch post" for the sn*pers was located.

"The building, the AGR International Inc. factory in Butler, Pennsylvania, was being used by local police as a "watch post" for sn*pers to scan for threats as the former president spoke onstage only 130 yards away," the Post reported.

Crooks was reportedly spotted at the building 26 minutes before the incident.

Trump rally shooter went to gun range on Friday

Thomas Matthew Crooks, the shooter at the Trump rally, went to the rifle range at the Clairton Sportsmen’s Club in Pennsylvania on Friday, according to a senior law enforcement official.

On Saturday morning, the shooter went to Home Depot and bought a five-foot ladder before going to the gun store and purchasing the 50 rounds of ammunition, the source said.

Later that afternoon, Crooks drove to the rally site in Butler, where CNN previously reported he was spotted by local law enforcement acting suspiciously by the magnetometers outside the event, and then not spotted again until he was perched on that roof.

Authorities are still working toward retracing all of his activities in the days leading up to the shooting and have asked the public for help in building out the full picture of his movements.
