Here's how it really went down:
In Georgia, Democrats close with populist pitch vowing $2,000 stimulus checks

. . . [Ossoff's and Warnock's] calibrated closing arguments centered on a pocketbook pitch to approve $2,000 stimulus payments to Americans, a popular issue backed by Democrats and President Donald Trump but opposed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. In the days between Christmas and New Year's Day, McConnell torpedoed the checks in the Senate, though they had been approved with a bipartisan vote in the House.
“Their election will put an end to the block in Washington on the $2,000 stimulus check,” Biden said. “If you send Sen. Perdue and Loeffler back to Washington, those checks will never get there. It’s just that simple. The power is literally in your hands.”
Ossoff and Warnock are both running aggressively on a promise for $2,000 checks. . .

In essence, the promise of stimulus checks by Trump actually helped the Democrats win both of those runoff elections. They even had billboards in Atlanta promoting this for the two months leading up to the runoff. @Right_in_Virginia of course knows this since the evidence has been posted here numerous times. But here she is again promoting a false narrative while defending Trump's left-wing actions.
If Trump had wanted to do something to stop it, he could have sued Georgia for violating the election laws enacted by its own legislature. Instead, he was off holding rallies as if that's all it took to have the election reversed after the fact.
Democrats got the Senate
And the rest of us got inflation
Where is all the “winning” we were promised in 2016?
