On Wednesday’s broadcast of ABC’s “The View,” First Lady Jill Biden argued that companies like Target and Walmart are lowering prices because President Joe Biden told them to and he’ll continue to tell CEOs to lower their prices, but also stated that other companies like McDonald’s brought down their prices because “they’re responding to you” the customer, but “We can’t have this corporate greed.”

Biden said, “t’s what Joe is doing. So, you’re right, inflation is down. But recently, he’s been meeting with CEOs of the major companies like Target and Walmart and grocery stores to say, you have to bring down these prices, and they’ve responded. They’ve responded, yes, it was just in The New York Times last week. So, he’s going to continue doing this, talking to CEOs, and, look, you probably heard last week, the head of McDonald’s said, we’re going to bring the prices down on the meals, and then, I think it was Burger King that said, okay, we’re going to do it too, because they’re responding to you. We can’t have this corporate greed. We have to get control of it. And so, Joe is working on that every single day, Joy, every day.”

So now the WH has the 'authority' to mandate or ask that companies lower their prices??  Mama Jill would have us believe that Joe is the great negotiator???  Somehow remembering his debacle in Afghanistan would tell me otherwise as well as his dealings with Ukraine and Russia.

As for Jill, perhaps she doesn't realize she's not the president.  Her very evil demented incapable and incompetent husband is.

This is a common belief in the Democratic Party, especially amongst the left

They believe that prices are going up, not due to bad fiscal and monetary policy. But corporate greed

Corporate greed has been with us since there’s been corporations

However, I can’t guarantee that Donald Trump will not try to implement price controls. He may not succeed.  But I can’t say with certainty that he wouldn’t try

dr DUMBASS needs to educate herself, I don't go near Target but I do shop at Wally's and the only prices they have dropped are loss leaders to try and suck people in...and then the prices go back up. No one but a moron, like Joe and Jill, would believe that a business would purposefully lose money(well ok Target) and fail their investors because some demented SOB that caused the economic issues forcing prices up asked them to.

I generally do my grocery shopping on Fridays because Kroger offers quadruple fuel points that day. The shopping list today, on a whim, included Jell-o (actually, the Kroger brand of gelatin dessert) - until I saw the price. I used to get Kroger's brand of gelatin for about 39 cents per package. It's now $1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a price increase of over 250%?
