"I'd get a job driving a truck" CDLs cost thousands of dollars. And most every other job that was accessible to someone with my degree and credentials either turned me down or was never hiring. Even a casino, a casino whose main purpose for getting approved was to provide jobs for those who needed them, decided I was just too autistic for them.

And that was under Trump's greatest economy in the world. There was no room for me.

And you wonder why I'm the mess I am, and why I'm so adamant that that man never needs to be treated seriously by anyone, ever again?

You are sad sack.  A mess of your own making.   Get over it.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

Of my own making, sure. What was I supposed to do? Join the military?

I’ve seen your videos and you sing very well

So it appears you have a talent for that. Is there something that you could do with that, career wise?
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

All I'll say is, for many people life is a difficult struggle. Nearly everyone has severe setbacks. You either take control of your future the best you can and fight for your goals or you drift with the tides wherever that takes you. Nobody is owed anything. The people who refuse to give up when things go badly wrong are the people who usually succeed.

I had just won a talent contest in March of 2020 and was planning on parlaying that into some performing gigs that summer. Hopefully the kind that paid. I was desperate at that point and figured... "OK, if I can't get a regular job, I might as well commit myself to being a musician. I know I can do that well enough."

Guess what happened just a few days later?

And by the time things reopened substantially, all that momentum was gone. I've had a few non-paying gigs but that's it.

All I'm saying is that, at least for me personally, the presidency of Donald Trump was a very, very dark time for me. If not for my current employer taking pity on me and accepting the recommendation of my family members, I don't know how it would have ended. And even now, knowing full well how limited my ceiling is as far as making money, and what that means for the rest of my life, I still struggle with dark thoughts.

And yes, it matters. I may have an OK job now, but is it enough to buy a house? Is it enough to provide for a wife? And with Bidenflation continuing to make the rich richer and leave most of the people like me behind... we on the right NEED to have an actual alternative, not some bloviating self-absorbed narcissist and pervert who will sell us up the river at the first hint of danger.

IMHO you would do well to consider broadening your horizons. Get the hell out of that little world you have confined yourself to. There is a really big world out there.

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Utter nonsense.  I have a CDL.  All you have to do is take the test and pass a physical.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

What reaction to this statement are you hoping for?

none, only to acknowledge that the Trump presidency was not the wine and roses your side wants to portray it—and it has had lasting consequences.

But please, tell me how the current talking point of "Biden is a poopypants" makes America great again. That was the promise made to us,  those left behind in the Rust Belt,  a promise of a better America, the rebirth of opportunity.

It was all a charade. From my end, everything got worse, not greater. So the fact he's getting foisted on what amounts to adultery charges—he got what he deserved.
