I’m not here to defend Donald Trump. The truth is, I disagree with Trump on many important issues: chiefly the LGBT agenda (which he supports) and his obvious pro-choice stance on abortion.

With that said, this rigged trial in Manhattan is a serious problem for the future of our nation, and for each of us individually. This judge and district attorney have proven that they do not care about the rule of law. They will arrest, convict, and imprison their political enemies, regardless of whether or not any actual crime has been committed. I now have to question the legitimacy of every person who has ever been convicted with this judge or district attorney involved. Clearly, this courtroom in Manhattan is corrupt, with no legitimacy whatsoever.

All the while, the Democrat Party and the media are clapping like circus clowns as our Republic crumbles. The Democrat Party has made it clear that they WILL arrest and imprison anyone who dares to disagree with them. How long do you think it will be before they concoct some absurd charges against you, convict you with zero evidence, and send you off to prison? That is what lies ahead for our country if we allow this tyranny to continue.

This isn’t about Donald Trump. This is about whether we will live under tyranny or freedom. Something better change fast, because our nation is in serious trouble.

How so?  Please explain precisely how the American people were defrauded, @jmyrlefuller .  Because as an American person, I cannot fathom how anyone could reach that conclusion.  Do you feel defrauded?  Did Trump take something away from you because of something correctly written in an accounting ledger?

Trump paid a lawyer for a legal expense and called it a legal expense on the books

The lawyer admitted to stealing $60k from Trump and perjured himself in the trial

Trump is the one convicted of 34 felonies

Our enemy is far more brazen than we realize

He paid a tabloid laundering it as a legal expense. To, among other things, smear conservatives and protect himself.

And he's still doing it, now he's paying Johnny Maga.

Our side lost because of Trump's smear campaigns against them.  Anyone who smears another for their own gain is evil.

So we're looking at again having to vote against the lesser of two evils.  One is incredibly evil and one did bring some benefit to this country at least for a short while.

Now, I believe one wants to at least make an attempt to save this Republic, though he will be about as unhinged as they come vs. one that wants to continue to destroy this country.

A true conservative IS what was needed and all hope of that was stomped on by Trump.  That is fact.

No conservative will ever be seated again though should amnesty be granted before the election and also no conservative will be seated again should Trump lose.

Heck of a choice to make.

You clearly are clueless on what constitutes money laundering.

I still remember the "Lyin' Ted" smears that were part of the same coordinated campaign between Trump and the Enquirer. Make no mistake, Trump was against us as much as, if not more than, the Democrats to whom he had been donating money all along.

That may be.  But it is not grounds for denying him his Constitutional rights and charging and convicting him on multiple felonies based on laws that don't exist.

In other words, the ends do not justify the means.

No doubt there is a double standard. Biden seems above the law, same as Hillary.

That’s an understatement
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Always making it personal.

Just because someone doesn't want to vote for someone for President that already had a go at it and has a record of some very large failures doesn't mean they want a corrupt legal system prosecuting them for crimes they didn't commit. It isn't very complicated but something you seem to be incapable of understanding. That is a reflection on you, not us.

You have no clue.  Yesterday was the apex of a rallying point to try to coalesce a consensus of defeating Biden via unity.

The coup plotters are already “predicting” a jail term for Trump.

That means it was already decided when they ran the op. No mystery.

Nobody
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

If President Trump was currently POTUS, none of the terrifying events around the world would be going on right now and nobody would be trying to "take us over".   *****rollingeyes*****

That maybe.  However, an election was clearly stolen out from under him and that scenario isn't reality.  What is current reality is the likelihood that Joe & Co., already have sealed our fate and Trump's. IMHO the ballot box isn't going to change that.

I continue to pray for Trump's safety and for some sort of miracle for this country.

@Right_in_Virginia  I can't believe what you just said -- hire a few toxic men???  --- This Republic just crashed and burned last night and you're proposing more toxic men?

This country is crashing and burning because you're discarding the good old fashioned toxic American male --- the ones with with a backbone, courage and a social skill or two @libertybele

The last thing we need right now are your hand-picked weak-kneed, whining, emotionally stunted soy boys, even if you insist they are "conservative". They are the men allowing tough times.

What we need is someone who has the guts to take on the entrenched bureaucracy and an ever expanding government and not grow and fund it with fiat currency and pats themselves on the back for a job well done in doing such

Former President Donald Trump hasn't lost his voting rights in Florida. Rights are not removed in Florida where they haven't yet been stripped in the convicting jurisdiction.

That said, given the absurd nature of the New York prosecution of Trump, this would be an easy case to qualify for restoration of rights per the Florida Clemency Board, which I chair.

The bottom line is that Donald Trump’s vote this November will be one of millions that demonstrate Florida is now a solid Republican state!

@Right_in_Virginia  I can't believe what you just said -- hire a few toxic men??? The very last thing that this country needs is more toxicity than we already have.  That's your flippin' answer?  This Republic just crashed and burned last night and you're proposing more toxic men?

This thread went downhill fast.

Correctamundo.  Just balance the budget, and the Democrat Party ceases to exist.

@Right_in_Virginia No.  The one who allowed tough times is Trump by not backing a competent constitutional conservative.  No -- instead he smeared them. He helped the leftists move their agenda further ahead.  Without those who are willing to adhere to the Constitution, we have no Republic!!  He knew he was facing charges, he still has more charges ahead of him, he's aging, he didn't accomplish what he promised, he has vowed retribution should he get in - what the heck do you think they are going to do with him and anyone who supports him or a conservative now???

Secondly, do you honestly think that he's going to win on appeal?  They have him where they want him.  The judge can sentence him and do with him as he sees fit.  That is reality.  Then what?  Then who do all of his supporters have??  No one.  They will see to it that Trump will never reach the WH .  Even IF he were to win somehow, the Senate will NOT certify the election.

I don't like what has happened either, he was wrongly convicted, but it's time to be realistic.  Trump himself stated that this is bigger than him and bigger than the presidency.    It is time to realize what he is saying.

Not a chance in hell.  Then there's always the chance of what Tucker Carlson said and what I fear; Former Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson remains so confident in a November Trump victory, even after his 34 felony convictions, that he declared assassination would be the only way to keep him from a second term as President.

I believe that the DEMS will stop at NOTHING.  NOTHING!

Meanwhile:  Former Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson remains so confident in a November Trump victory, even after his 34 felony convictions, that he declared assassination would be the only way to keep him from a second term as President.......

“This won’t stop Trump,” Mr Carlson wrote on X, following the verdict on Thursday afternoon.

“He’ll win the election if he’s not killed first.
