Long, long ago and far, far away, I was a Boy Scout. It was fun, and we learned a lot, not all of it in the handbook. Of that crew, there were a Navy SEAL, a Command Sgt. Maj. in the USMC, and a swarm of small business owners and tradesmen, and even a scientist. It was a good experience, but that was at just a little over half the organization's current age.
The last in our family was a nephew who was an Eagle Scout, unfortunately with Obama's signature on the cert.
Even then the first tendrils of what has amounted to the destruction of an organization designed to help prepare young men for their (conservative) future were appearing, and now the demolition nears completion.
