Your Brain - Use It or Lose It

New York Times app Wordle is a daily game where you try to guess
the five-letter word with real time hints they provide you.
The twenty-volume Oxford English Dictionary reportedly has 171,000
five-letter words. You get six tries in Wordle.

I did it in two today, starting with HEART and got the answer on
my second try. It will knock you over.

Your brain is like a muscle. It too needs exercise to stay strong.

I got it in two starting with HEART. It took me a bit before I made my second try, though.

Six on third try, one on second try this month.

The trick is to place X in unknown after picking most logical places for yellow letters.

Today I put SXIEX and could only think of SKIER which worked.  SHAVE was just a lucky guess starting with very common letter S and A in the middle.

No, I didn't really WANT another addiction, but I may have gotten one.  :facepalm2:  I couldn't leave well enough alone, so I sashayed over and thought I'd take a look. Then I thought I'd try my hand at just one puzzle. After solving it (4 attempts), I thought that maybe I'd try a second one. To my relief, a new puzzle wouldn't be available until the next day. Will I return?  :shrug: Am I hooked?  :shrug: Am I glad I tried it?  :shrug: Maybe so, but I can't have another puzzle that causes me anxiety like cryptograms do if I can't find one to solve. I usually do a Sudoku puzzle every day. I can do the Easy and Medium ones usually in a day... The hard ones can take me two days. *Done while on bathroom breaks only.

Tennis partners and I got two threes yesterday on Wordle and Wordley.
Incredible!  Any three is amazing and lotsa luck.  Two threes in one day?   Extremely rare.

Back to back threes, yesterday and again today.  We are on a roll - whole wheat.
I did cryptograms daily for years, then cancelled my local paper when it went full Leftist.
Wordle/Wordley have taken the place.


I ask the Good Lord to help me do all I can for others every single day, and this is all I get?

Previous entry above was #47 in TWO.  Pure luck. Today's was much easier due to lucky first word, and Wordley showing double letters.
