I feel the need to explain something to the generation that does not
remember, or never saw, a world where one person with a high school
education could support a family of 5 comfortably.
This was real. For millions of US families. It was *normal.* It was stolen
from you.
So true. When I was a kid, $100.00 a week would support a family of four, perhaps not in high style but well enough.
But when some moms started working, the inflation that came with the extra money forced many more into the workplace. All the media pushed that. and suddenly, kids didn't have mom at home all the time, and a vital cultural connection was inexorably severed, increasingly taken over by day cares and schools.
The end result has been that children are increasingly influenced by people other than the parents, and more by the State, using State sanctioned and even licensed people to raise your kids--unless you make the effort to override that as much as possible.
Keep in mind those people raising kids in the parents' absence are punching a clock, and while some of them still care about the welfare of your child, others are just there for the paycheck, or on occasion, even more nefarious pursuits where they have a captive audience of young minds they can influence, whether it be political ideology or more base influences.
And fast forward to today, where educators are just there for the check, benefits, or other opportunities, and it's no wonder that little white kids grow up to hate their own skin, boys and girls don't know whether they are boys or girls, and idiot parents trying to be trendy go along with the latest abomination to 'keep up with the Joneses'.
Just buy a new car, the latest trendy overpriced overrated wine, and have the yard redone to impress the neighbors (something I never understood), and spend some time with your children, the most valuable thing in your world.
