When Hamas fires the 1st rocket into Israel post the start of the peace treaty, the USA should lease 6 - B52 bombers from the USA for $1 day/day/plane to Israel, and carpet bomb Gaza until there is not a single blade of grass remaining.

The B-52s haven't been used in a long time, and the bomb inventory has to be getting dated and in need of replacement. I say use them to end the insanity of these stinking mussies and let Gaza serve as an object lesson of what not to do for the next 100 years, and render that land a true no go zone or die.

It would be the best spent money on ending war since WWII!

MSNBC’s Mohyeldin: Netanyahu Denied Harris Ability to Run on Ceasefire ‘by Design’

On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight,” MSNBC host Ayman Mohyeldin reacted to the ceasefire and hostage release deal by arguing that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “could have delivered this victory to Joe Biden eight months ago, prior to a U.S. election in which the U.S. candidate for the Democratic Party, the vice president, could have been running on a ceasefire deal. He did not do that. And he did not do that, by design,” and “it is hard to imagine that the Prime Minister of Israel has entered into this ceasefire deal without knowing that, on the back end of it, down the road, there [are] going to be some chips to be cashed in with the Trump administration.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday accused Hamas of reneging on parts of a ceasefire and hostage release agreement announced the day before.

In a statement, Netanyahu said his Cabinet will not sign off on the deal until Hamas agrees to all parts of the arrangement.

“Hamas has reneged on parts of the agreement reached with the mediators and Israel in an effort to extort last-minute concessions,” Netanyahu said in a statement Thursday. “The Israeli Cabinet will not convene until the mediators notify Israel that Hamas has accepted all elements of the agreement.”

It was not immediately clear whether the statement reflected efforts to keep his precarious coalition government together, as at least one far-right member threatened to thwart the deal, or whether the ceasefire was at risk.

A senior Hamas official, Izzat al-Rishq, said the group “is committed to the ceasefire agreement, which was announced by the mediators,” according to The Associated Press.

The deal, expected to be implemented Sunday, would bring relief to nearly two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and allow for the return of dozens of hostages to Israel held in captivity since Hamas’s initial attack on Oct. 7, 2023. It would also open the door for a possible end to more than a year of fighting in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas Leader Khalil al-Haya allegedly promised another October 7 style attack during a press conference Wednesday just after a tentative ceasefire was announced, according to an announcement aired Wednesday.

Al-Haya said that the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel “will forever be a source of pride for our people” and expressed no regret for the destruction caused by the terrorist group, according to the announcement. As of Wednesday afternoon, a six-week ceasefire is set to begin on Sunday, with both sides set to exchange hostages and Israeli troops withdrawing from Gaza.

“This EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November, as it signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies,” President-elect Donald Trump said on Truth Social Wednesday. “I am thrilled American and Israeli hostages will be returning home to be reunited with their families and loved ones.”

This is a ploy to lighten Israeli pressure until the next shipment of weapons arrives from Iran.

Iran may not be able to funnel weapons through Syria since Assad left.

My heart breaks for the families and hostages. All I can do is pray for them. I can't imagine having a possible deal...or not. I'm not sure what I would do. Of course I would be shouting for everything that could be done to bring my loved one home. But I would probably be shouting to level the place to the ground. My loved one may/may not be alive.

This has had to have taken a huge toll on BiBi.

Trump says ceasefire better be finalized before his inauguration

President-elect Trump said a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas had better finalized before he is sworn into office on Monday.

During a podcast interview with Dan Bongino, the incoming commander-in-chief also said his involvement in the negotiations was crucial to the deal getting done.

“We changed the course of it, and we changed it fast, and frankly, it better be done before I take the oath of office,” he said. “I’m not looking for credit. I want to get these people out. We’ve got to get them out.”

Trump also said “we shook hands, and we signed certain documents, but it better be done," The Associated Press reported.

The deal is expected to begin on Sunday, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said issues with Hamas has held up his government’s approval of the truce.

Dr. Mizrahi also told the AP that staff are preparing to assist people with their mental health.

Israel's military believes at least a third of the remaining hostages -- and up to half of them -- are dead.

Cease-fire and hostage deal signed by both parties

A cease-fire and hostage release deal has officially been signed by Israel, Hamas, U.S. and Qatari officials.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been informed of the agreement and has instructed a meeting with his political-security cabinet, which would be followed by a government meeting to approve the plan, his office said in a statement translated from Hebrew to English.

"The families of the hostages were informed a short while ago of the agreements by the Directorate for Hostages, Missing Persons, and Returnees in the Prime Minister’s Office," the statement said. "Additionally, the Prime Minister instructed the Coordinator for Prisoners and Missing Persons to coordinate preparations for the reception of the hostages upon their return to Israel."

Netanyahu has directed that the Security Cabinet be convened later Friday.

Originally, the Israeli government was set to vote on the measure on Saturday, which would delay the release of the first three hostages until Monday.

Government officials cited last-minute issues with Hamas for the delay.

More details emerge on 95 Palestinian prisoners set to be freed

More details are emerging Friday about the 95 Palestinian prisoners set to be released this weekend.

One of the most well-known prisoners on the list is Khalida Jarrar, a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terrorist group who has been in and out of Israeli prison in recent years, according to the Associated Press. Human Rights Watch has called Jarrar’s arrests part of Israel’s wider crackdown on non-violent political opposition.

There are 25 male prisoners set for release, all under age 21, and 70 female prisoners. The youngest to be released are 16 years old. The prisoners were accused of crimes like incitement, vandalism, supporting terror, terror activities, attempted murder or throwing stones or Molotov cocktails.

Israel’s Prison Services said it would carry out transportation of the prisoners instead of the International Committee of the Red Cross, to avoid “public expressions of joy.”

Lists of prisoners are published to also allow members of the public to petition Israeli courts against the release of a specific prisoner. Petitions can be submitted up until the prisoners are released, a Justice Ministry spokesperson said.

Youngest hostage set to be released by Hamas just days after second birthday in captivity

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum, which has been advocating for the release of those being held captive by Hamas in Gaza, said a “special event” was held in London yesterday to commemorate the second birthday of Kfir Bibas, who “has yet to experience a birthday in freedom.”

“Kfir remains the youngest hostage taken during Hamas's October 7, 2023 attack, when he was kidnapped at just 8.5 months old from Kibbutz Nir Oz along with his brother Ariel who was only 4 and mother Shiri. His father Yarden was taken separately in the same attack,” the group said.

“Though the Bibas family was slated for release during the November 2023 hostage exchange, the cease-fire collapsed before their release could be secured. The newly announced deal includes the Bibas family in its first phase,” it continued.

“Organized jointly by The Hostages and Missing Families Forum UK and Remember 7.10, the event served as a poignant reminder that Kfir has yet to experience a birthday in freedom,” the group also said. “The ceremony featured birthday songs and speeches from prominent figures, including families of other hostages.”

As Israel continued operations in Gaza, the IDF claimed to have intercepted a missile fired from Yemen.

Residents in Tel Aviv were seen rushing to emergency shelters as sirens sounded across the city.

While Israel has negotiated terms to wind down hostilities with Hamas, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and ostensibly with Iraqi militias, clashes continue with Yemen's Houthi rebels.

The long-awaited ceasefire was approved by Israel's cabinet on Friday after months of back and forth between Israeli and Hamas delegations, mediated by Qatar, Egypt and the United States.

The talks have not been without issue; Israel accused Hamas of reneging on details of the deal on Thursday, allegations Hamas denied.

Israeli ministers on the far-right also threatened to quit the government if the deal was approved.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called it a 'dangerous deal' and insisted that his party's continued membership in government depended on Israel staying in the war and fully vanquishing Hamas.

A spokesperson for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's military wing today also called for the IDF to stop strikes on the Gaza Strip ahead of the ceasefire coming into effect, threatening to harm or kill Israeli hostages.

OMG - second birthday??? This really, really sickens me. I hope and pray he truly is still alive. I can only imagine the horror that this defenseless baby has gone through.

So, to think of these hostages being released is one thing, but how if irreparable harm has been done to them? I would have a very hard time just not completely annihilating Hamas. Perhaps they'll wait till they've received ALL the hostages.
