Host Brian Kilmeade said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has “got the decision to make, do I worry about the 30-plus hostages that may still be alive, or do I finish off a terror organization that’s trying to destroy you? Are you okay either way?”

Trump answered, “I am. I really am. When you see what’s happening here, it’s a hard thing to say, you just wonder, the condition of the hostages that they have. One group came in so bad, it looked like it was a concentration camp in Germany. … And then, the other day, a group came in which was not as bad, actually not really close to as bad. Hamas freed six hostages on Saturday in exchange for more than 600 Palestinian prisoners as part of the fragile ceasefire agreement with Israel.

The first two men released were identified as Tal Shoham, 40, and Avera Mengistu, 39. Video footage showed the two men looking frail and scared as they were taken to a stage in front of a crowd while flanked by masked gunmen. They were handed over to the Red Cross and were on their way to the IDF.

An additional three hostages – Omer Wenkert, 23; Omer Shem Tov, 22, and Eliya Cohen, 27 – were subsequently released in the central town of Nuseirat. They were dressed in fake army uniforms, though they were not soldiers when they were kidnapped.

The three were put in Red Cross vehicles that then headed for Israel.

President Donald Trump seemed to welcome the news, writing on Truth Social, "SIXTH HOSTAGE HAS JUST BEEN RELEASED BY HAMAS!"

Hisham Al-Sayed, 36, an Israeli Bedouin who was kidnapped by Hamas in April 2015, was officially handed off to the Red Cross on Saturday after nearly 10 years in Gaza.

The Israeli Defense Forces and Israel Security Agency said in a joint statement that another hostage, in addition to the six who were released today, was transferred to the Red Cross, but did not provide details.

The body of Shiri Bibas, who was taken hostage by Hamas along with her two sons, was returned to Israel, her family confirmed early Saturday — and Israeli officials reportedly said she was murdered in captivity.

Bibas’ remains were identified in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute after Hamas handed off ‘anonymous unidentified’ remains in a previous exchange, The Times of Israel reported.

Kibbutz Nir Oz, the village where the Bibas family lived, said that the mother was murdered while being held hostage in Gaza.

Israeli officials also said an assessment determined Bibas was “brutally” murdered alongside her two young children in November 2023, according to the report.

“Shiri was a wonderful mother to Ariel and Kfir, a loving partner to Yarden, a dedicated sister and aunt and incredible friend,” her family said in a statement Saturday. “Thanks to everyone for your support and love these 16 months, we wish that Shiri could be here to see it.”

The numbers of Hamas hostages being released is extremely disproportionate to the amount of Israeli hostages Hamas is releasing.  The condition of the Israeli hostages is pretty bad and some returned have been dead.

U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff: “Hamas is making a very poor gamble by believing that time is on its side. That is not the case.”



“A Hamas statement seen by the BBC said negotiations had broken down,” the UK broadcaster reported Sunday.

Earlier this week, the Israeli government accepted the Witkoff plan in a bid to bring the remaining hostages home after 525 days of Gaza captivity. Hamas continues to hold 59 hostages, including the bodies of 35 Israelis murdered in Gaza on October 7, 2023.

Prime Minister “Netanyahu’s office had earlier said Israel accepted the US proposal,” the BBC added. “It said Hamas remained “firm in its refusal and has not budged a millimetre,” accusing the group of “manipulation and psychological warfare”.”

The Israel Hayom newspaper reported the details of the Witkoff plan:

    Witkoff’s proposal, as previously reported, included the release of 11–12 living hostages in two phases, along with the remains of approximately 18 captives, in exchange for the resumption of humanitarian aid and electricity supply to Gaza, as well as the initiation of intensive negotiations for a more comprehensive agreement. Hamas, in its statements, confirmed the details of this proposal, including its demand for an Israeli withdrawal from the Philadelphi Corridor and the commencement of discussions on a second phase as initially agreed upon in the deal.

Hamas fired a barrage of rockets at Tel Aviv Thursday in the terror group’s first attack since the cease-fire fell apart, Israel’s military said.

The three long-range rockets were launched from the southern Gaza Strip — one of which was intercepted by air defenses, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

The other two fell in an “open area,” the IDF said.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ armed wing, swiftly claimed responsibility for the bombing, saying it was in response to “the Zionist massacres against civilians.”

It wasn’t immediately clear if there were any injuries.

New research shows that Hamas has quietly dropped thousands of deaths from its Gaza war casualty figures.

Salo Aizenberg, from the US-based non-profit organisation Honest Reporting, said that Hamas’s March 2025 casualty update had removed thousands of people it previously listed as having been killed last year.

“Hamas’s new March 2025 fatality list quietly drops 3,400 fully “identified” deaths listed in its August and October 2024 reports – including 1,080 children. These “deaths” never happened. The numbers were falsified – again,” Mr Aizenberg wrote.


The casualty lists are released as PDFs by the Hamas-run Gaza ministry of health, which has been cited by international media as a source for fatality figures in the enclave since the start of the war.

A report by the Henry Jackson Society in December said that the number of civilians killed in the Gaza conflict had probably been inflated by Hamas in order to portray Israel as deliberately targeting innocent people.

Andrew Fox, the author of the report, said the latest deletions are likely to have been an attempt by Hamas to retain credibility.

“We knew there were rafts of errors in their reporting,” Mr Fox said. “There’s a reasonable explanation in that their computer systems went down in November 2023, so it’s been challenging for them to report accurately, but the lists are so unreliable that the world’s media shouldn’t be quoting them as reliable.”

The IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) announced on Friday that, earlier in the day, they struck and eliminated terrorist Mohammed Hassan Mohammed Awad, a senior commander in the Military Intelligence Array in the Gaza Strip, affiliated with senior commanders of the Palestinian Mujahideen terrorist organization.

On October 7th, Mohammed Awad infiltrated the Israeli community of Nir Oz several times. He was one of the leaders of the massacre, and was likely personally involved in the abductions and brutal murders of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas. He was also involved in the abduction and burial of Gad and Judi Lynn Weinstein. Moreover, he took part in the abductions of Thai citizens, the statement said.

“As part of his role in the terrorist organization, Mohammad Awad was actively involved until his death in recruiting terror operatives in Judea and Samaria and within Israel, through whom he used to plan and carry out attacks against Israelis,” it added.

The leader of Hamas has been targeted in fresh Israeli missile strikes on Gaza on Tuesday, the IDF has announced.

It is not clear whether he is dead or alive.

Muhammad Sinwar, the brother of Oct. 7 mastermind Yahya Sinwar, was reportedly the target of an Israeli airstrike on the European Hospital in the city of Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip, according to Israeli media.

At least six people were killed and 40 wounded, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Ministry of Health, which did not name Sinwar as one of the dead.

Hamas has previously chosen not to release the names of its slain commanders, so as to not give away details of their positions to Israel.  .  .
