On TV, I once heard an Israeli woman say there won't be peace until the Palestinians love their own children more than they hate Israeli children.

I know be both remember Meir, and if she was alive today, her biggest shock would be what squishes the political leaders in DC have become in understanding the Islamic threat. I can see her telling Biden... "Did 9-11 teach you anything"?

Hezbollah's new leader says he is willing to accept ceasefire with Israel

Hezbollah's new leader today declared he would agree to a ceasefire with Israel under acceptable terms - but said a viable deal has yet to be presented and insisted he would not 'beg' to end the hostilities.

'If the Israelis decide that they want to stop the aggression, we say we accept, but on the conditions that we see as appropriate and suitable,' Naim Qassem said in a pre-recorded speech - his first as the Lebanese group's secretary-general - broadcast this afternoon.

Israel has not yet presented a ceasefire proposal, but its energy minister Eli Cohen told Israeli public radio this morning that the security cabinet is currently discussing terms and is in the process of finalising a deal.

'There are discussions, I think it will still take time,' Cohen told Israeli public radio.

According to Israel's Channel 12 television, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held talks with ministers on Tuesday evening on Israel's demands in return for a 60-day truce.

These include a Hezbollah pullback to north of the Litani River, some 20 miles from the Israeli frontier, the Lebanese army's deployment along the border, an international intervention mechanism to enforce the truce, and a guarantee that Israel will maintain freedom of action in case of threats.

Israel just fired their Defense Minister?...now with Trump coming, Israel knows they will have the support they need to destroy their enemy, in total.

They're probably headed to one of the joint Air Force bases in Saudi Arabia, which is much closer to Iran than Israel.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Yemen’s Houthi rebels targeted two U.S. Navy warships with multiple drones and missiles as they were traveling through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, but the attacks were not successful, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder, Pentagon press secretary, said the Iranian-backed Houthis launched at least eight drones, five anti-ship ballistic missiles and three anti-ship cruise missiles at the USS Stockdale and the USS Spruance, both Navy destroyers, on Monday. He said there was no damage and no one was injured.

The incoming fires “were successfully engaged,” Ryder said.

The strait is a narrow waterway between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, which typically sees $1 trillion in goods pass through it a year. The rebels have been targeting shipping through the strait for months over the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza and Israel’s ground offensive in Lebanon.

In response, U.S. and partnered forces have launched multiple rounds of coordinated airstrikes against Houthi launch sites and weapons storage sites, and the U.S. organized an international coalition to help provide protection to commercial vessels . . .
