Hamas blocking Americans from leaving Gaza: Blinken

Hamas is preventing Americans and other foreign nationals from exiting the Gaza Strip, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Sunday.

“The ball is in the Hamas’ court in terms of letting people who want to leave — civilians from third countries including Americans,” Blinken told CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

When pressed about whether Hamas was preventing Americans from leaving Gaza, the US’s top diplomat responded, “That’s correct.

“We have US personnel on the other side of the border in Egypt, consular personell” he said, declining to outright specify whether any US personnel is presently in Gaza.

Blinken declined to say whether Hamas had taken American hostages or if other terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip, such as Palestinian Islamic Jihad, had some of them.

Welcome to the consequences of our big deficit spending. When you throw around trillions, a few billions to these kinds of terrorists organizations just gets lost in the noise.

Problem is you can fund a pretty serious operation with billions if you're coming from a terrorist perspective.

The Israeli Defense Force has announced that a Soldier was Killed earlier today and 3 other Injured during a Raid into the Gaza Strip which was conducted in order to Destroy Hamas Positions near the Border Fence and also to assist in the Collection of Bodies.

The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and its strike group — which last weekend Austin had announced was being deployed to the eastern Mediterranean Sea to join the USS Gerald R. Ford — will instead be heading to the Persian Gulf, Austin disclosed Saturday. 

I wonder who made that call?  Maybe there is someone competent at the Pentagon after all.  Park an aircraft carrier off the coast of Qatar and provide air cover for IDF bombers destroying Hamas HQ.
