Fully agree, positionally, but no one wants the job, and how is the House going to operate without formal leadership?
Oh, I agree completely. Vacating the Speakership when the Speaker still has the overwhelming support of the GOP caucus, and when there is no plan on how to proceed or consensus alternative candidate, is just asinine.
I'm just pointing out that everyone directing their ire at McCarthy for not being conservative enough aren't taking into account that there are not enough votes
among Republicans for the kind of things Gaetz & Co are demanding, plus the willingness to endure a long shutdown to try to force the House and President to accept them.
That's not McCarthy's fault. That's just who the voters sent to Washington this time around.
