BullBush. Anybody that tries to compare support troops in the rear who almost never leave their compounds with infantrymen is either a fool,or knows nothing about warfare. He was probably as likely to get killed in a car accident back home as he was playing at being a soldier for the Navy.
Equating a guy who volunteered to serve in a combat aread during a time of war when there was no draft, to a Vietnam War draft dodger is rather...sickening.
Some people just can't tolerate an unpleasant truth. You just go ahead and worship your "hero" if that is all it takes to impress you.
*I* suspect the truth is you would be no more impressed than I am if it were anyone else. Providing,of course, you understand what being an infantryman in combat even means.
The problem is you twist yourself in pretzels (hypocritically) defending a rich dude who never, ever went in the military in any form.
(P.S.: I am not one who thinks MIL is the end-all be-all, or is a requirement for elected office as many have tried to say over the last decades. We wouldn’t have a Margaret Thatcher if that were required. It’s the hypocrisy I despise.)
Klintoon was an easy obvious target, but Dems of course generally “loathed” the MIL so they didn’t mind ignoring his failures at such.
Then Dems tried to pillory Bush for “only” doing NG service. Repubs stated it’s better than nothing.
Well here is your better than nothing.
In fact, my best friend’s husband was an intelligence officer in Iraq, way back. Yes, we all realize he didn’t have to be facing down bullets, but he was THERE. Hell, the “contractors” were there, to get killed though they were not soldiers. These people were in the combat zone.
Which is more than can be said for Mr. Trump.
Let’s at least give Ron that over Don.
