I thought it was just me.

Hey. That's a thing. Auto Parts stores... All the greats are gone. Our local NAPA quit being great when their last Books guy, Hank, retired... Funny how they tended to be named Hank or Ed or Lloyd...

Replaced by pointy headed geeks that know how to navigate data, but don't have a clue about car parts. It's a cryin shame.

Around here they tend to have "women" that "play for the other team" working there.

As long as they know their way around the parts for my car, I don't care whose other parts they also know their way around!

And hardware stores are no better... Small engine parts stores... same. Still good service at non-box store building supply houses, electrical and plumbing supply warehouses, industrial warehouses... But they are quickly being surpassed by big-box stores and Amazon... where nobody knows a damn thing.  **nononono*

All the G.O.A.Ts are nearly gone. My sons' generation hardly knows them.

I needed to replace the fan on the AC on Mrs. Liberty's car.  I ordered the replacement from Amazon, got it in a couple of days and it works fine....

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. I like it.

Seems obvious once you think about it for a minute, doesn't it?

I am guessing a public fund raiser would not be the way to go on this.

That’s probably the case, but it’s not self evident from the picture itself, so it’s still kinda funny.
