I just got back from the East Coast. What a relief to not be in that scrum.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

There's the entire plot line of the Yellowstone Series.

Don't even want to visit NYC, LA, or San Fran, even if it was all free. Been to all of those many times in the past and it was wonderful, but they have all devolved into shitholes these days.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

Such a shame.  As a kid I was mesmerized by NYC and the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Bldg., Times Square, Rockefeller Center, fancy restaurants. It was a city that drew people in, now it's a city that pushes people out..

I live in Orange County, Ca. and I have avoided going to any large city like Lost Angels, San Franshitco and even downtown Santa Ana or the like. I hate crowds and dealing with large groups of idiots.

@Kamaji

ALL built using western money.

When  discussing the morality/values of the leadership,there is damn  little moral difference between the upper-level Communists and the upper level Capitalists. Both want to rule the world.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Very nice.  Such a perfect summary of why I hate golf.

I wouldn't know, though I'd like someone to translate the thing for me...

The closest I come is throwing lead around... And I always hit the hole. Where the hole IS may not be where I wanted, but I always hit the hole  happy77

I bought a sack of golf balls from a guy at one of the tables at a gun show where people sell all sorts of odds and ends. He said "heading for the range"?

I said "Yep! My granddaughter loves knocking these around with the Sig."

Oh.

He meant 'driving range'. :shrug:

Never played golf in my life.

@Smokin Joe

I honestly thought I was the only one that liked to do that.

Started doing in when I was working at a golf course and finding stray golf balls that had been hit by a mower or otherwise damaged. I liked to scatter them around in the yard and then spin around and snap shoot at them with  my  combat commander.

A LOT more fun and satisfying that shooting at a paper target.

Do NOT do this if your ego beats you up if you miss an occasional shot!

Oooh!  New game:  set up one of those miniature practice putting greens one finds at most golfcourse club houses, then everyone gets a ball and a .22 pistol, and they have to sink their ball into each of the holes - in order - using just the .22.

Gives whole new meaning to "shooting a round of golf".
