You get used to the rhythm of the ocean. This song captures it. It really is 'way hey' (that's the dip) and then 'up she rises early in the morning'. The 'up she rises' is the most important part of the whole adventure.

I reckon that's true... Though I would not know. Never seen an ocean, though I have lived on big lakes most all my life.

But any eco system has that same thing... that rhythm you get used to... Coming down out of the mountains, having been there a while, it's like your balance is off... You're all jangly Takes a while to get used to. But for me, man, I'd rather never come back down.

My favorite CSN song! happy77 Also a misheard lyric..."You will survive getting busted". Many years later I read the lyrics. "You will survive getting bested". What a difference a vowel makes. :rolling:

I have seen the Southern Cross for real. When you are out there in the middle of the ocean, in the middle of the Earth nowhere, you look up in the sky and it is crazy. You really can see all kinds of crazy shit you cannot imagine. Ancient cultures all worshipped Space. That is because they could see so much more than we can.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

In my home city as a boy, the sidewalks between the store fronts and the curbs meant snowbanks of packed hard pollution sprinkled snow as high as 5-1/2 feet and 3 feet wide.

Snowbanks as high OR taller than us. They'd last all season.  happy77

Busses and trucks on one side and bigger people walking on the others.  We'd go the 4 blocks to parochial school and never touch a sidewalk until we reached the school.

Ours had fiberglass seats. We also had the longest bus ride of any students in the county (in MD, ~60 miles a day)

Just one way ... but the downhill trip home could actually be more treacherous if it was icy.
We lived next door to the schoolhouse, though, so it wasn't really a LONG walk.  Maybe 150 yards or so.

I remember riding the bus some... Mostly to the junior high, and mostly in the winter. And even that, not very often. Likewise I can remember Mamma driving us from time to time... But by far and away, I ran to school... The elementary school was 2 miles off, and I ran or rode my bike. The junior high, same thing... The high school however, that was but a mile off, and for that there was little mercy. Though I DID have a pickup my senior year.

Even if somebody actually dies because of this insanity, Nothing will happen - Nothing will change
Everyone will be 'afraid' to sue. No lawyer would take the obvious/blatant negligence case.

Our hero: Ken

Why not? They hire 'teachers' all the time who cannot read - cannot do math - and can barely speak English.
