BREAKING: A massive police response is underway at a subway station in Sunset

NEW YORK - A massive police response is underway at a subway station in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. There are unconfirmed reports of an explosion along with several people shot.

Several ambulances have responded with several people injured being taken out.

The incident happened at the 4th Avenue and 36th Street Station.

Photos on social media show a man covered in blood lying on the platform.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.

Multiple people have been shot in a Brooklyn subway station and several undetonated devices were also found at the location, according to fire officials and law enforcement sources. They stress the investigation is preliminary.

The FDNY says it responded to a call for smoke at the 36th Street and Fourth Avenue station, which serves the D, N and R lines in Sunset Park around 8:30 a.m. and found multiple gunshot victims. No details were immediately available on the devices.

Information on a possible suspect also wasn't immediately known.

NY Post photos show injured Asian riders. The N train (one of three) connects Brooklyn Chinatown with Manhattan Chinatown in very few stops. It’s ridership in that area is close to if not majority Asian.
