He also criticized the mayor for not doing more to combat homelessness.

“Eric Adams, Eric Adams: What are you doing brother? What’s happening with this homeless situation,” he said while referring to the subway. “Every car I went to was loaded with homeless people. It was so bad I couldn’t even stand. I had to keep moving from car to car.”

The NYPD said they were increasing security for Mayor Adams after police discovered the videos.

The 62-year-old suspect was arrested Wednesday, and footage of NYPD officers taking him into custody has been blasted across social media. Footage of Dahhan at the same location has also been getting a fair amount of attention, with people praising him as a “hero.”

Dahhan explained in interviews that he was watching security cameras in the East Village on Wednesday when he spotted James, who was publicly identified as a person of interest on Tuesday, and he immediately informed the police.

How could he have shot so many people with a 9mm handgun and no one be dead?


It appears that he was shooting at people's legs, not their torsos.  In a crowded subway car, it's possible to hit people in the legs like that even though, in an unconstricted space, that would not be as possible.

Shot placement for one and second the 9mm isn't the most effective round for stopping/killing someone with the most readily available FMF ammunition.
