ALL warm-blooded critters need another of their species to live with in order retain their sanity/sense of well being.

It is a sin and a shame bordering on a crime to just have one dog or one cat. Have a pair,and they will not only live longer,they will be healtier and a LOT more sane and easy to deal with.

Not to mention have a co-conspirator for the upcoming revolution.
