Today's Birthdays: March 1, 2013--Rock singer Roger Daltrey is 69

Happy birthday, Roger, although there is a obvious typo in that report as it says he's 69 and that would mean I am...

From The Who to The Guess Who. A great song if you can move beyond its rank anti-Americanism. I have always wanted to ask these Canucks if, in addition to rejecting American women and all the rest, they also rejected the American dollar? Hey?

Additional note: the pics accompanying the song's intro will bring back many memories of that period but also contains a sign which shows the F word. Just a friendly advisory, thank you.

Final one for the day. From the 1967 movie "Banning" starring Robert Wagner and Anjanette Comer. A forgettable film but a theme song which has stayed with me for all those years and even now, 45 years later, will just pop into my head. Music by Quincy Jones, lyrics by Bob Russell. Nominated for Best Song it lost out to "Talk to the Animals" from Dr Doolittle.

Not represented, I think.

There is an entire live performance on youtube with The Chain, Tusk and more... excellent show.  Lindsey Buckingham is a brilliant musician and he and Stevie Nicks were magical performing together, their personal relationship was not so magical... but they are friends (again) and I understand they are doing a tour together this year...... I would love to see them live again.

Brenda Lee. She's nicknamed "Little Miss Dynamite" because such a big voice came out of such a small package (4' 7"). She was so popular in her day she's been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
