Since WHEN...does CNN...help any republican?  ONLY WHEN THEY ARE A RINO.  CNN HELPING CRUZ CAMPAIGN?  Ben Carson & Marco Rubio were lied about leaving race by Ted Cruz. Google. Not about CNN. Many articles.
CNN was covering the Iowa Caucuses, and being ubiquitous at the time, was seen in virtually every airport that had more than a dirt strip, and every public venue, from hotel lobbies to even bars. As for Rubio? He was never in the race, despite throwing his hat in the ring.
It was between Cruz and Trump.
Now, if you want to revisit the smears and disinformation campaign carried out against Cruz by friends of Trump, we can do that--they are archived here if you want to play nostalgia games, but I really do not think there is shit to gain by it.
Cruz has left that in the past for the benefit of the Country, in case you hadn't noticed, and I must admit it would have been hard for me to do so. I might point out how typically this happens, but the enemy is the Marxist/Socialist/Communist Horde in major cities, their enablers in Congress and throughout the various agencies which should be maintaining law and order, who have either abdicated their responsibilities or even enabled the insurrection going on, and those in the media who continue the false fronts that these Communists are operating behind, while concealing the true nature of this attack on America.
Even professional sports leagues are complicit in this fable that any lives matter to the people who are perpetrating this violence.

So, rather than dig up the proven fallacies of the attacks on the Cruz campaign last time, how about we focus on the real enemy.

I don't believe in coincidence.  Been a long time since I have heard mention of Jekyll  Island. But here is a vid from YouTube on my feed. Posted last night. It is somewhat incomplete.

@Smokin Joe

 I was working with a Hatchet Force platoon on a mission in Laos in the summer of 69,and we had a new guy come in that had volunteered to extend his tour in VN for 6 months if he could get transferred to SOG. Since the only people we got were volunteers and damn few few had even heard of SOG (cover story was we were mapping the remote areas around the borders with Laos and Cambodia).

So this huge black SSG shows up wearing a 173rd Abn combat patch and a CIB. Naturally,we assumed he had an infantry MOS because of the CIB,so his first mission was with a Hatchet Force platoon to see how he held up in combat before putting him on a recon team.

We ended up surrounded on a hilltop in Laos,all 26 of us. I have no idea how many NVA there were,but we could hear the trucks rolling up at the bottom of the hill and the tailgates dropping as the NVA got out and formed up.

What happened was my squad had an ambush set up along the road to try to capture a NVA prisoner. EVERYBODY liked capturing prisoners because it meant your team got pulled right away before the NVA could rally and take him back. We are sitting in ambush,and lo and behold,a whole damn NVA company  decided to stop and take their noon "pot break" (pot as in rice pot) right in front of us.

So there we sat,as quiet and still as church mice,hoping they eat quick and move away,and one of them walks over to the side of the road to take a leak,and pisses right on the head of the platoon sgt. Who immediately gives him a CAR-15 burst for the bad manners,and it's "game ON!"

That was when we discovered that company was just the lead element. So we hauled ass to the top of the hill and started digging in and calling in tac air.t

I decide to wander over to the new guy from the 173rd to check on him,and there he is in his hole,with his claymore set up right in front of his foxhole,and he is peeping through the sight used to zero it in so the zone you want is covered,just like it is a rifle scope,and he has the detonator in his hand.

That was when we found out his MOS was "head cook",NOT infantry as we had all assumed.

Needless to say,he was no longer assigned to SOG and had already flown back to Nha Trang for reassignment before dark the next day after we got back in.

I am SOOOOO glad I decided to check on him.

You would THINK  a career E-6 would know enough to ask questions when he didn't know what to do,but he didn't,and THAT was what got him the boot. You can't train anybody not interested in learning and who won't admit he doesn't know what he is doing.

@txradioguy

An absolute certainty. The Claymore blast is a fan shape in the front,and comes to a point at the rear,like an ice cream cone. IIRC,it has an effective blast radius of 45 meters to the front,and 15 meters to the rear.

He would have killed the yard in the foxhole with him,and who knows who else to the rear. Remember,we were surrounded,and dug in with a circular defense perimeter.

Quote

And maybe my own as well?

BTW,you can set them up MUCH closer than you think,but it is a VERY good idea to have the backblast hit a tree trunk or a large rock. Anything that will keep it from hitting you when you set it off.

WONDERFUL devices! Set one off on an enemy charging up a hill at your position,and the survivors lose a LOT of their enthusiasm about charging at you again. Especially if you do like I used to do,and set a Willie Pete grenade or two in front of it so it sends out a WP cloud with the ball bearings.  I don't care WHO you are,you will NOT have any interest in charging through a cloud of WP! Even the thought of it is enough to make you think you hear your mama calling you home.

I agree. I bet any lawyer would take that sweet gig.

But, I don’t see Sen. Cruz getting past the hurdles for the presidency. Also, I’m not sure he’s got what it takes to withstand the same level of media hostility that Trump’s been subjected to—I’m not sure anybody could’ve.
That's why I'd like to see Jordan run.  He is used to 24/7 attacks and handles them with both hands.  We will need a tough guy for the next twenty, maybe longer.
