Even the residents that want to stay will be forced to move when they can no longer afford to pay the taxes.

Worse of all for them,because of the tax rates and the crime they won't be able to sell their homes,so they will just have to abandon them and start all over again if they can afford a downpayment where they move.

If not,they are going to have to rent.

Which is ok,because they can take heart in knowing that several homeless drug-addicted families are now living in their old house instead of in tents.

According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, officers were called to the 1300 block of Wren Place just before 9 am Saturday. Ashley Real was known to frequent Gateway TC (as was Smith) and went missing around SE 122nd Ave. The unidentified woman was found in a tent in a homeless camp off of I-205, less than a mile from SE 82nd. We have heard from multiple sources that many of them used the same shelter in Clackamas County.

I've been following a twitter account called PortlandLooksLikeSchmidt @HeiditheHoFjord. She posts videos she takes from her car of the homeless encampments and overall decay in her city. She also retweets what others are saying about PDX and cities where municipal government is doing nothing to solve the problem.

Multnomah County lost over $1 billion in income as high earners fled the area during the lockdowns, riots, and spikes in crime in the first year of the pandemic, according to a new report.

According to an analysis of data from the Internal Revenue Service by The Oregonian from income tax returns filed in 2020 and 2021, Multnomah County lost a net 14,257 tax filers and their dependents, many of whom were high earners who could do jobs remotely, resulting in a net income loss of over $1 billion.

The outlet reported that the average income of those who left in 2020, the most recent year available, was 14 percent higher than those who moved the previous year, yet the average income of those who remained in or moved to the county declined during the same time frame.
