Ready, but no patients yet.
That’s what hospitals do. Prepare.
Ohio hospitals are contacting hotels and nursing homes to use as wings to transfer non - contagious patients to in order to make room in case there are large numbers of contagious patients.
Elective surgeries are being postponed to keep medical staffs available.
There are already cluster cases in nursing homes where medical personnel are strained and at risk.
The Ohio National Guard is available to set up tents for triage.
That’s because the medical community is smart enough to take this pandemic seriously.
They aren’t just sitting at home pretending it isn’t happening. They’re on the front lines of this unprecedented (in our lifetimes) battle, which is still getting worse and a long time from getting better.
I thank God that the people who count (scientists, the medical community) are taking this pandemic seriously.
