Iggy Pop  -  Everybody's Talkin'

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

More Carrie.

I thought that I had seen that season in it's entirety, but apparently missed that one.

She sure has evolved into a superstar and one of my favorites that she sings just absolutely beautifully is "How Great Thou Art".  It gives me the chills every time.

Let It Be - Beatles

www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDYfEBY9NM4

When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be, be
And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me
Shinin' until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

@corbe

One of my all-time favorite bands. Toy and Tommy were something special in this world. Saw them in concert a BUNCH of times, and was even invited backstage to meet them after a concert once, but had to pass on it for personal reasons.

These boys  liked to play, too. I was living in Virginia at that time, and they once went to a bar on the ocean front in Va Beach and played as the house band after finishing their concert appearance in Norfolk. I didn't hear about that until the next morning or I would have  been there too.

I am probably  wrong, but it seems like they  and Jethro Tull were the only  rock bands featuring a flute as a main instrument. There is nobody  that has ever heard them play, live,or on record, that doesn't instantly know they are playing "Can't You See" after the first few notes of that flute.

I loved “Can’t You See” the instant I first heard it. Remains one of my all-time favorites. Just a beautifully written, beautifully executed song.
