   Absolutely not @Hoodat  I will not deny that I miss my Cathy (Rehab), just am in bad need of a road trip (White Lines to clear my head).
   I think I'll just do what ol Merle suggested.

I know I've posted a few of their songs in the past; but they bring such joy and are such a "positive" in this ocean of doom and gloom that we are faced with on a daily basis.  The kids are growing in their talents; especially the drummer.

I’ve found a few music channels on YouTube featuring young and up and coming, very talented young artists covering classic rock and pop songs along with their original music. Just a small sampling.

First up is Josh Turner of Josh Turner Guitar (and friends)

@Neverdul

I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but when I was a high school senior I had tickets to see the Modern Jazz Quartet in concert---but I got hit with the flu the day before the concert and had to give my tickets to a friend who also liked jazz. He and his girl friend loved the concert, so at least they had a great evening. I never had another chance to see them.

But I did have these three albums in due course . . .

I came across this on YouTube.

THE HOOD INTERNET presents…

“Samples of more than 50 songs from mixed together into one 3-minute song.”

They start with 1979 and end with 1989. I really like how they edited both the music and visuals from the music videos and incorporated so many different styles of music; pop, punk, new wave, rock and early rap/hip hop.

A lot of fun for those of us who watched a lot of MTV back in the ’80’s when MTV played music videos.

Here are my favorites:

Even now I think John Barleycorn Must Die is their best album with Heaven is In Your Mind/Mr. Fantasy (it's been issued under both titles) right behind it, Traffic (the second album) right behind that, then a dead heat between Last Exit and The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys.

One more time, in memory of the great Peter Green . . .

These three tracks were cut without John Mayall despite his billing (on the compliation Thru the Years)---Mayall had given Green a birthday present of a day's worth of studio time, and Green seized the moment: he rounded up then-Blues Breakers bassist John McVie and drummer Mick Fleetwood and cut these tracks, all written by Green . . .
