Actually, they don't think well of themselves.

Men with self-confidence and real masculinity respect women.

Insecure ones smear us hiding at home behind their computers.

btw, I guess one could argue that Trump is prettier than Hillary, so that could explain his vote.....    wink777

I think @jpsb should tell us what he finds cutest about Trump.  This is a safe space.

Speak for yourself.  I know a lot of rational women.

And I know (and have seen on forums such as this) a heck of a lot of completely irrational men.

@musiclady

Like you, I know a lot of good women.  I also know--or used to--some reptilian females.  On the whole, I always preferred to work with men than women.

But---and I don't intend to offend anyone on this forum-- I used to believe that all conservative men were absolute princes with the purest respect for women  I didn't believe Tax-Chick at TOS when she said otherwise.  But she was right, it turns out.  Go over there and you can see outright hatred of women.

To some, especially of a certain generation, recognition of that fact means you're a feminist and a man-hater.  Nope, just realistic.

Now, I defend men on a case by case basis, but it isn't default anymore.

They don't call me quick-draw for nada!

In the spirit of this thread, that would be "Queecks draw."

I was just pointing out that it was an ET, not an NT who says this.

And, the hell with what the left says about it!  Do the right thing.

I agree, but there are a lot of stupid people in the world and we have to beware of giving them ammunition.

@Emjay it seems that you are misconstruing what I'm saying, and  I will be the first to admit that I am very passionate about this issue and spent quite some time years ago trying to enlighten people and to get others to become passionate so we never got to this point.

Either Pres. Trump has a plan to reject these people and stop them from entering or he's going to allow these people (at least some of them) to enter.  It's as simple as that. IOW he's being tested as to what he's been saying he's going to do and what he actually does. So far ... he's agreed to an extent to allow them to enter through the processes of the UN. It's not like he needs to plan some covert operation for that and I expect him to reveal it. I would hope that you would give me more credit than that.

Again, I am NOT proposing bloodshed.  Absolutely not.  I believe I have always given Trump credit when due.  Since he was elected, I have been supportive and have wanted him to succeed.  But, I will not give him a free pass like so many others are willing to do, especially when it comes to the sovereignty of this country.

All the NTers claim that they give Trump credit when it is due; but somehow it is never due, and they all presume he will fail.

I'm kinda wondering who the NTers voted for.  I'm guessing they a)didn't vote; b)voted for some pie in the sky third party; or c) voted for Ted Cruz.

I was for Ted Cruz, but he would be no more popular with Congress than Trump is.  Cruz is a Constitutional Conservative with really strong values.  The majority of supposed conservatives are not, and only think of not rocking the boat and staying in office.

So, wondering who the NTers would think would be doing a better job:

John Kasich
Ted Cruz
Marco Rubio
Ben Carson
Jeb Bush
Jim Gilmore
Chris Christie
Carly Fiorena
Rick Santorum
Rand Paul
Mike Huckabee

Think about it.  Trump and Ted Cruz are probably the only people there who really care about the illegal problem.

I don't know where you get that @Emjay.  In Texas we have a large number of conservative Republican women in offices and they do very well.

Well, what exactly are you proposing, if not bloodshed?  I mean, c'mon.  You have the first President in many years who's actually concerned about the illegal problem and it's a real concern, not just a ploy to be elected.  I hope you are not one of the people who blames Trump because there's no wall yet.  He's accomplished a great deal, but he cannot part the seas, cure cancer or raise a wall with a magic wand.

I feel passionately about this issue also but, so far, it hasn't driven me crazy.

He as Commander in Chief has the authority and the right and took ad oath to defend this country period.  Right now IMHO, I feel he is being tested ... either he say NO entry to this mob or he lets them enter (said this all before). So far -- he's agreed to let the UN process them  with some being placed in the U.S.    So ... a wall wouldn't make a whole lot of difference at this point would it?

Congress is responsible for funding the wall @Emjay ... I realize that.  I also believe that there are several areas that he can pull discretionary funds from as well as executive orders ... yes I realize lower courts have stopped him in the past and have put up roadblocks ... yes he's done a lot and I have given him credit when due.

Our sovereignty depends on him.

Yes.  They're also quite capable of tantrums and theatrical "I'm never speaking to you again" announcements.

There was a cartoon on from 1959- 1962 (my late childhood) called "Quick Draw McGraw." He was a horse, and he had a Mexican sidekick who was a burro named Baba Looie, who always called him "Queecks draw."

It probably was only funny if you're old enough to remember it, but, since we're talking about a caravan going through Mexico.......

Sadly this is very true.

I still think Cruz would have made a fantastic President. Indeed, the left still hates him as do members of his own party I'm sure, but I think that has subsided somewhat since Trump took office.

I hoping that many may change their tune a bit now that the issue is so close to hitting home.  As for the Kasich's and the Rubio's and the other's you have mentioned, their reach for the presidency is all but gone.  They only two that may stand any chance of a future is Cruz and Paul.

Again, I want to be clear that I definitely do want Trump to succeed and hopefully the caravan heading this way will finally get the NT's to admit that we need him to succeed.  They don't have to like his character, nor his demeanor, but I'm hoping that they'll realize the fate of our sovereignty is ultimately in his hands.

Prayers up for this country and President Trump.

Personally I don’t really give a rip if there’s bloodshed.  Start announcing now that ANY attempts by members of this caravan  to forcefully cross the border will be met with lethal force.  If they choose to continue, well now theyve made their choice now haven’t they?  I’m so damned magnanimous, that I’ll even make exceptions for children, we wil process them for return to their native country.   Everybody else?  Too f’ing bad, you should’ve believed us when we said we viewed you as an invasion force.

I'm absolutely all for Trump taking a firm stance.  He first needs to announce that the U.S. will NOT take any refugees from this caravan mob and that he is declaring a moratorium on migration to this country period.

He has left things in the hands of the UN.  It is right now up to them to figure out how to deal with these people.  From what I've been told, he does not have to accept these people into this country.

Ok ... we have unarmed guards on the border.  It's almost a sure thing that there will be some that will try to cross over...our guards will try to stop them ... it is at that point that I fear.  Somehow I don't see President Trump telling them to turn the other cheek.  He may be waiting for them to take the first steps over our border. Then I think it may become a whole different ballgame.

We shall know very shortly.

Problem with that is that it is not a tomorrow  solution.  It’s a today solution.  Put some in the ground and they’re a helluva lot more likely to get the point that party time is over.

Don’t do that and all you’re demonstrating is that we aren’t REALLY serious.

What would be even more effective than the wall is no welfare.  No chain migration and no birthright citizenship.

Of course I want the wall too.  Because terrorists don't need welfare.  They are well funded.  I can't understand why president Trump wouldn't have our armed military at the border.  It has been proven that there are criminals and terrorists moving with the Caravan.
