That is just unrealistic @Sanguine .  He has already said they won't get in.  There are a lot of options that don't involve opening machine gun fire on unarmed people.  They are being discussed as we speak.  But, sorry, you are not included in those discussions.

Of course we will find alternatives to opening machine gun fire on a group of unarmed people that includes a few innocent (photo op) babies.

I cannot believe that some people here want to know the exact plan.  That would just give ammo to the enemies.  The plans will change as circumstances change.

It is not blind faith (a routine accusation by NTers about people who support Trump) to believe that Trump will use every means possible to stop this invasion because that's what he actually wants to do, unlike the liberals.

This is so obviously a Soros funded plan to create doubt and confusion right before the election.

ANYWHERE?  Just curious... since I can't seem to find proof that any of it has been built, two years (already) in.

The $$$ budgeted for the wall is to repair or replace the existing wall. No $$$ or future monies have been budgeted for additional wall.

   No one wants to see anyone hurt, or killed, but IMHO having unarmed guards at the border is opening the door for putting them in harms way. 

You are correct, the American people need to be addressed and told how this is going to be handled and to assure us that we will NOT be invaded...and that asylum IF any will be LIMITED.

@Emjay the reality is, Trump is putting 1,200 unarmed on the border and they have 14,000 coming at them.  The potential for our citizens to be harmed is there.  What is it going to take for the President and Congress to react?  When one of these guards is beaten?  When several hundred make it across the border and infiltrate our cities and rape or murder?  When we discover that a small group of ISIS made it in and publicly beheads someone??  The potential is there and it sure seems right now that NOTHING is being done other than letting the UN place these people somewhere.

To those that say that right now there is no way that we can become another country like Europe because we have different processes in place ... I say b.s...until we are told how our gov't is going to protect this country from this growing invasion.

Do you have a link for that info?  Why would they want to stop them and how are they going to stop them?  They get rid of a lot of their criminal element and the U.S. will feed and clothe these people and they will send some money back to their families in their country so that they can be joined here.  That's reality.

   Absolutely.  It's not like the plan would be some covert operation that is dependent on silence.  Quite the opposite ... it's a matter of him saying NO  to the UN and NO entry to the refugees ... and arming the border period.  Let them apply for asylum in Mexico.  Have at it, but NONE will be allowed in the US.  That gets back to the countries from where there coming and it will curtail others from coming.

Again, this IS an invasion and as Commander in Chief he has the authority, in fact he took an oath to protect this country against its enemies.

Guatemalan police don't work for Honduras.

The point being discussed was our threat to Honduras to stop people from leaving their country.  Guatemalan police are not acting based on our threat to Honduras; they are irrelevant to the point.

If he doesn't follow through on his vow to send military troops to the border, it was all just Kabuki theater scripted lines, as far as I'm concerned.  Intended to sway voters to vote GOP again... when it won't really matter if/when thousands (millions) more of these illegals will continue to swarm in.   This is THE main issue he was elected on.  If he fails (betrays) on this issue, it's over.
