What I have seen is China trying desperately to shoot itself in the foot in an attempt to Undermine and Change the outcome of OUR next Election by pissing off voters who are Trump Supporters.

What's mystifying to me is that we all had a good laugh over the idea there'd be some kind of 'reset' with Russia under Obama.  Trump is doing the same thing, without the corny prop.  Scratch that - there was a soccer ball.  Hilariously, the reset button actually said 'overcharge' when properly translated.  Seems appropriate, given the amount of graft the Clinton Foundation received for zero return.
