What did Obama get one for? Afrophysics?

Haha!
You're everywhere I go, I am not alone
You call me as Your own to know You and be known.
You are holy!
And I fall down on my knees.
I can feel Your presence here with me.
Suddenly I'm lost within Your beauty,
Caught up in the wonder of Your touch.
Here in this moment I surrender to Your love.

Kate Middleton asked to give Ons Jabeur a hug after the Tunisian lost the Wimbledon final for a second year in a row.

Jabeur suffered a crushing straight sets defeat to Marketa Vondrousova and cried tears of despair after the match.

The 28-year-old was consoled by the Princess of Wales after she presented her with the runners-up prize and the pair shared a long chat.

"Obviously she was very nice," said Jabeur in her press conference. "She didn't know if she wants to give me a hug or not. I told her hugs are always welcome from me."

When asked what she said, Jabeur added: "Same thing after last year. To encourage me to be strong, to come back and win a Grand Slam, win a Wimbledon." ...

I wonder what the state's law is on assistance animals, in California you are not allowed to question an animals status or ask for documentation and that effectively negates a property owners right to refuse service. Because of this we end up with all sorts of loonies who just can't be away from their little mutts for any time at all taking them to the grocery store and every where else.

King Charles’ reign is a ‘sandwich filling’ between queen, Prince William: expert

By Jane Herz
July 19, 2023

Forget about his sausage fingers — he’s a “sandwich” now.

Russell Myers, the Daily Mirror’s royal editor, recently revealed that he believes that King Charles’ reign is just acting as a stall for time — a “sandwich” between the late Queen Elizabeth II’s monarchy and the future king William’s.

The topic was brought up on last week’s episode of the “Pod Save the King” podcast, as Myers and the show’s host, Ann Gripper, were discussing Joe Biden’s recent visit to England, where he met with Charles, 74, at Windsor Castle.

Myers mentioned that he was a bit “disappointed” that there was no press conference after the meeting, while Gripper compared it to Biden’s last visit while the queen was still alive.

“But do you think Joe Biden’s a little bit stung as when he was over last time and then he came out and started chitchatting about what him and the queen had been chitchatting about, and that was really not the done thing,” Gripper commented. “Does it feel like it actually is the done thing now that you could chat a bit more freely about what you talked about with Charles?”

Are Meghan and Harry separating?
Reports claim that the couple are ‘taking time apart’ to heal and rebuild their bond
July 19, 2023 | 12:19 pm
Kara Kennedy

After five years of marriage, rumors are swirling that Prince Harry and Meghan are set to part ways. Earlier this week, RadarOnline reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “taking time apart” to heal and rebuild their bond.

“They’re trying to figure out what hit them. Harry doesn’t fit in Meghan’s tacky Tinseltown world,” a source told the outlet, adding that he’s hoping to “find himself.” RadarOnline also claimed that Harry is planning a solo trip to Africa to film a documentary, saying that the prince thinks of the continent as his second home and a place where he feels “most like himself.” Responding to the separation rumors, a source close to the British royal family told The Spectator that it “wasn’t surprising to hear,” and added that “there is little sympathy for Harry among the family, after all he’s done.”

But the Sussexes have hit back at the rumor.  ... Spectator

Poor Harry -- he got suckered into the Black Widow's web.  Where will he go once they split?  Back to his 'Royal' family with his tail between his legs??? You know she'll come after him financially with both barrels.

I’d be surprised if there wasn’t some sort of a protective pre-nup in place.

@mystery-ak

He can always use family money and maybe even a tad of political influence to buy them back.

And I hope he does. If she gets custody, they will just be handled by hired help and not have a family experience at all,and children NEED family experiences when young to gain empathy.

I imagine the office and advisers that support the royal family would have things like pre-nups ready to go, in order to protect the family itself as a going concern.

Prince Harry's memoir Spare 'is the most dumped book of the summer' with up to 100 copies left behind by holidaymakers at resorts in Spain, Greece and Turkey

Spare was the UK's fastest selling non-fiction book since records began in 1998

By LAURENCE DOLLIMORE
20 July 2023

Prince Harry's memoir Spare is the 'most dumped' book by holidaymakers this summer, it was claimed today.

The 416-page diatribe has reportedly been left in rooms, bins and by pools at holiday hotspots across Europe and further afield, including in Spain, Greece and Turkey.

Tour operator On The Beach said it had received 100 left-behind copies of the autobiography from fed-up hotel workers so far this summer, with school holidays only just getting underway.

American divorcees are nothing but trouble for the British Royal Family.  Once they go American, they never go back.

Prince Harry and Meghan Separate Over Their “Non-Identity”
By
M Dowling -
July 20, 2023

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly on a ‘trial separation’ amid nasty fights, financial pressure, and opposing lifestyles. Divorce papers might have been filed.
The scoop about their non-identity damaging their marriage:

As some reports indicate, Meghan allegedly plans to file for divorce and wants sole and full custody of the children. However, that might not be so simple.

According to reports, the royal family operates with a strange custody agreement when its couples have their children, which states that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has full legal custody over the young royals. Royal expert Marlene Koenig told news outlets: “The sovereign has legal custody of the minor grandchildren.”

Koenig continued: “This goes back to King George I [who ruled in the early 1700s], and the law’s never been changed. He did it because he had a very poor relationship with his son, the future King George II, so they passed this law that meant the King was the guardian of his grandchildren.”

However, they’re living in America, and that doesn’t fly here. Also, she’s ruthless and will start making up stories about Harry and the Royal family. Harry should have listened to Queen Elizabeth, who, along with Prince William, tried to convince him not to marry her.

Queen Elizabeth II allegedly told people she was sorry her grandson Harry met Meghan Markle. She called Meghan “evil” and their courtship a “complete catastrophe.”

If Harry ditches Meghan (or vice-versa), my guess is that they'll be a bit of a Prodigal Son twist to this story with respect to his family.

Lots of us guys have done something stupid for a girl.  Harry did take that to an extreme...but I don't think the family will consign him forever to purgatory if he is repentent.

Kate Middleton is ‘tougher’ than people think, playing the ‘long game’: expert

By Nicki Gostin
July 22, 2023

Kate Middleton is one tough cookie.

Royal expert Valentine Low exclusively told Page Six in a recent interview that the royal, 41, is “tougher” than she lets on.

“Interestingly, behind the scenes, she’s a lot more steely, a lot tougher than we give her credit,” he said.

“She’s this nice-looking woman, dresses nicely, smiles nicely, adopts sort of fairly uncontroversial charities,” the author explained.

“You know, they think she’s slightly bland.”

Low said one example of the Princess of Wales’ steeliness occurred after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired in March 2021.

In the candid sit-down, the “Suits” alum, also 41, shared that she had harbored suicidal thoughts during her brief stint as a working royal. The Duke of Sussex, 38, also implied that the monarchy had become jealous of Markle after seeing how popular she was on the couple’s first tour to Australia.

King Charles reportedly getting a raise thanks to the ‘golden ratchet’ clause

By Dana Kennedy
July 22, 2023

King Charles III and the rest of the royal family are set to get a raise.

Despite some changes in how the money paid to the the royals by the UK government is calculated, the royals’ take will likely jump “significantly” in the years to come, CNBC reported, citing a review of the annual Sovereign Grant.

For 2022-2023, the grant was worth about $96 million, the same it was for the previous year.

The amount will remain steady for 2024-2025, but is expected to rise after that, the BBC reported.

The eye-popping amounts, which do not account for all of the royals’ income, are determined with a formula based on the percentage of the profits from the Crown Estate.

That’s the name for the vast collection of hereditary assets that belong to the monarch, from Buckingham Palace in London to Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where Queen Elizabeth II died last year, and multiple other estates along with extensive portions of the coastline and seabed of Britain, Wales and Northern Ireland.

All told, the portfolio is worth $20.5 billion.

Six new offshore wind farms, worth about $1.1 billion, generated “substantial additional income” and helped drive up the total value of the estate in recent years.

The profits from the estate, which is only the king’s property during his reign but not considered private property, go to the nation’s treasury, which doles out the funds for the Sovereign Grant.

Hollywood royalty avoiding Harry and Meghan to stay in William and Kate’s good graces: report
By Isabel Vincent
July 22, 2023 3:43pm

Snitches don’t make friends in Tinseltown, as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are finding out.

Celebrities, including their high-profile neighbors Steven Spielberg, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Rob Lowe, are staying away from the exiled royals in fear that they will spill their secrets — and alienate them from Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Montecito-based couple were not even invited to Oprah Winfrey’s birthday party this year, despite her bombshell interview with the Sussexes in March 2021, according to NewsNation.

“Everyone’s got a movie to sell and a Broadway play they want to debut on screen in London or [London’s] West End and they know that Prince William and Kate — who are the biggest [celebrity] gets over there won’t show if they think someone is friends with Harry and Meghan,” the outlet’s senior story producer Paula Froelich said Friday.

“My sources tell me it’s all about the money,” she added. “And the big power players in Hollywood aren’t jeopardizing their business for Harry and Meghan.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who broke away from the royal family in 2020, were also snubbed by the White House when they were denied a flight on Air Force One when they tried to hitch a ride back to the US after Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral in September.

The White House reportedly worried that escorting the estranged royals with President Biden and first lady Jill Biden would cause a “commotion” and strain relations with Britain.

Hollywood celebrities also worried about the couple spilling their secrets, Froelich said.

“What if they dish on what’s in the refrigerator as well?” she said.

@libertybele

It has always been inevitable. She married him to boost her career, and I SUSPECT that he married her to poke a finger in the eye of the royals who he thought was disrespectful to the ho he called "mama".

It ends when the money quits coming in,and the divorce is going to make a LOT of money for the tabloid presses. Chances are that BOTH of them will be negotiating their "cut of the take" on that, too.

LOL the White House wasn't the least bit worried about straining relations with Britain.  They were worried about Harry and MeAgain being around Joe for an extended period of time and seeing just how far his dementia has gone, and spilling the beans about THAT.

@sneakypete I believe she married him because of Royalty and thought she was going to ascertain all of what she thought she was going to be 'entitled' to.  Granted Harry wasn't hurting for money.  However, she realized what Harry's 'ranking' in the family was after she had their first child and found out the Harry would never be King and her children were even further down the line of Royalty.  She then started with the whole racist rant hoping that they would change decades of tradition just for her.  She found out that playing the race card and them going on 'Oprah' didn't exactly work.  Just my opinion.

Home is where the heart is for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The couple may be moving their homestead from Montecito, Calif. to the sunny shores of Malibu, an insider recently claimed to Express.

Markle, 41, and Harry, 38, have been “secretly” looking at houses in the beach city so they can be closer to Los Angeles, the outlet reported.

“Harry and Meghan are reviewing their living options with Malibu being a place of interest,” the insider noted.

“They have secretly visited the area a couple of times and have been out and about, looking at what’s there.”

Malibu isn't what it used to be, but they should fit right in  :pondering: wondering if all the 'celebrities' living in Malibu will welcome them or give them the cold shoulder too?

There are 4,604 unhoused people in West Los Angeles, which reaches from Malibu south to Playa del Rey and east to Beverly Hills, according to the 2022 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count. Malibu's unhoused population in 2022 was 81 people, according to the Malibu Homeless

Watts ain't what it used to be either, Hispanics made up 61.6% of the population, blacks 37.1%, non-Hispanic whites 0.5%, Asian 0.2%, and others 0.5%.

Most of the formerly predominately Black cities like Watts, Compton and Southgate have been transitioning Hispanic for decades so I doubt a light skinned woman trading on being Black and her Ginger hubby would be welcome.

Royal family warned to ‘keep Prince George away from Prince Harry’

By Nika Shakhnazarova
July 25, 2023

Prince William and Princess Catherine have been strongly advised to keep their eldest son, Prince George, away from his uncle, Prince Harry.

The Duke of Sussex’s former biographer, Angela Levin, made the stern warning to the royals in a desperate bid to keep George, the second in line to the throne, from walking a similar path to Harry.

“Kate and William are there to help him [George],” Levin told OK magazine. “But he needs to be kept away from Harry’s negative influence.”

“George doesn’t have a dysfunctional family, unlike William and Harry growing up, so he should fare better. Kate and William are there to help him. But he needs to be kept away from Harry’s negative influence,” she added.

In his protocol-shattering bombshell memoir “Spare,” Harry detailed his experience of growing up in the palace as well as his fears about Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis growing up as “spares” to George.

Ritzy Santa Barbara suburb panicked over Harry and Meghan rumors
By Jeanette Settembre and
Alix Breeden
July 25, 2023 5:32pm

When locals in the secluded Santa Barbara, California, enclave of Hope Ranch heard that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be keen on leaving nearby Montecito to buy a home in the exclusive suburb, they didn’t roll out the welcome mat.

A Hope Ranch realtor told The Post that, nine months after the rumors were reported by the Santa Barbara News-Press, their office continues to field calls from concerned longtime residents who fear the couple and their security team will disturb the peace in the quiet community where houses go for as much as $22.5 million and seclusion is the ultimate amenity — just three roads are public.

“The people that made the calls to me don’t want change and they don’t want all the hoopla,” the realtor, who asked to remain anonymous, told The Post.

“People are not happy, that’s the word around town. They want them to stay in Montecito and not be drawing that kind of attention to Hope Ranch,” another realtor and Santa Barbara native confirmed to The Post.

Neighbors swear they’ve seen Markle on the town’s private beach.

Locals are worried” that Harry and Meghan coming to town could turn their community into “an extension of Montecito,” the second realtor added of Meghan and Harry’s current celebrity-studded suburb, where A-listers like Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, Adam Levine, Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Aniston and Ellen DeGeneres have places.

There’s also concern about what Hope Ranch residents have heard from their neighbors in Montecito, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex purchased a $14.65 million mansion in 2021.

One Montecito shop employee claimed to The Post that Harry and Meghan’s security team had shut down streets and blocked hiking trails.

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry risk ‘humiliation’ if they ever decide to return to royal life: expert

By Nika Shakhnazarova
July 26, 2023

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry risk “humiliation” if they ever decided to rejoin the royal family in the UK, according to a royal expert.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that the prospect of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex returning to the monarchy as working members would be a “bizarre” move considering the damage done.

“This would be one of the most bizarre events in royal history if they did return after all the attacks,” Fitzwilliams said. “It would be a humiliation for Meghan and Harry.”

“The idea that after everything that has happened that Meghan and Harry could just walk back in is beyond extraordinary,” the royal expert added.

The Sussexes shut the door on royal life in 2020 after stepping down as senior working members of the Firm.

IF they were allowed to return, the only reason they would do so would be to get more material to sell to the tabloids.

Queen Camilla and King Charles hit Sandringham Flower Show in style

By Samantha Ibrahim
July 26, 2023

Queen Camilla and King Charles woke up and smelled the roses — in style.

The royal couple stopped by the Sandringham Flower Show in Sandringham Park, Norfolk, England, on Wednesday by way of a horse-drawn carriage.

Camilla, 76, donned a belted, pleated dress featuring a garden-appropriate green, ivy-leaf pattern, while Charles, 74, sported a dapper tan suit and fedora, a red patterned tie and a complementary pocket square — as well as dark shades for the sunny day.

The former Duchess of Cornwall was spotted sniffing and picking a colorful bouquet of florals, while Charles was seen chatting with a group of onlookers, even chuckling as they spoke.

This year’s event marks the 140th anniversary of the show, which brings more than 20,000 attendees annually to the venue, which is actually part of the royal family’s home where they often spend the Christmas holiday.

King Charles, Prince William ‘massively irritated’ by Harry’s latest court battle: report

By Nika Shakhnazarova
July 28, 2023

King Charles and Prince William are “massively irritated” by the idea of Prince Harry spilling even more details about the royal family’s private life in court, according to a report.

A judge threw out the Duke of Sussex’s phone-hacking case against the Sun’s parent publisher, News Group Newspapers, on Thursday.

While Harry has lost part of his case against the UK newspaper, the court is allowing him to take the Sun to trial over what he alleges were illegal practices to obtain information against him.

And while King Charles accepts that Harry now lives his life as a private citizen, a source close to the royals told the Daily Beast that the monarch is unhappy with the amount of information Harry has divulged in court.

“Everyone in the family completely accepts that Harry is a private citizen and can do what he likes without reference to the family,” the insider told the outlet.

“That doesn’t mean they have to like it. Of course, they are massively irritated by the prospect of more blockbuster Harry trials but they have been expecting it; there is also the defamation case against the [Daily] Mail, don’t forget.”

King Charles extends invite to Harry, Meghan to annual summer vacation: report
By Nika Shakhnazarova
July 29, 2023 4:37am

King Charles has kept Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s names on the list of invitees for this year’s royal summer vacation, according to a report.

Each summer, the royal family sets off to Balmoral Castle in Scotland for their annual break.

And despite the Sussexes shutting the door on royal life in 2020, they have not been iced out from family get-togethers in Balmoral, according to the Daily Mail.

“All family members are expected to stay [at Balmoral Castle] at some point over the next few weeks,” Rebecca English writes.

“That is, except the Duke and Duchess of Sussex whose ‘open invitation’ to join family gatherings hasn’t exactly been rescinded, but is certainly not expected to be accepted.”

Tensions had reached an all-time high after Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working members of the Firm.

The decision was followed by a move to Canada, before the pair ultimately settled down in Montecito, California, amid their ongoing quest for “privacy.”

‘Furious’ David Beckham reportedly ends friendship with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle
By Brooke Kato
July 29, 2023 3:24pm

There appears to be a royal rift between these couples.

David and Victoria Beckham, longtime friends of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have allegedly been accused of leaking sources about the Suessexes.

Now, their friendship is over, according to an anonymous insider.

The source told The Mail on Sunday that David is “absolutely bloody furious” after accusations supposedly flew during a tense phone call between the couples.

“Any making up now is so unlikely,” the insider claimed.

The Beckhams were present at the royal pair’s wedding in 2018, and were “very supportive” of Meghan’s arrival in the UK, the source said.

In the wake of their fallout, Meghan has seemingly replaced one Victoria with another: Victoria Jackson, a cosmetics magnate and the couple’s neighbor in Montecito, California.

The Post has reached out to reps for both the Beckhams and the Sussexes for comment.

excerpt:
Quote
The Sussexes’ exclusive inner circle has been dubbed the “Montecito Mafia” by one Hollywood exec, according to the Mail, which is rumored to include Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, photographer Misan Harriman and Meghan’s former “Suits” co-stars Sarah Rafferty and Abigail Spencer.

Longtime activist Gloria Steinem has also been a close friend of the Duchess, presenting the Women of Vision Award to Meghan mere hours before the couple were involved in a supposed “near-catastrophic” car chase in May.

Harry, Meghan not invited to royal gathering marking one year since Queen Elizabeth’s death: report

By Nika Shakhnazarova
August 4, 2023

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been snubbed from the Royal Family’s gathering marking one year since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, according to a report.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not received invitations to the intimate event at Balmoral Castle on Sept. 8 — despite being in Europe for the Invictus Games the following day.

The exiled royals, whose rift with the Firm rages on, are set to touchdown in Düsseldorf, Germany just 24 hours after the royals meet in Balmoral.

“There hasn’t been any outreach to them,” a source told The Sun.

The pair’s trip to Germany will mark their first joint European appearance since the late monarch’s funeral on Sept. 19, 2022.

“You can read the room on that as to where things are [between them],” another source told the Daily Mail. “It’s sad, but it is what it is. This is a family as well as an institution.”

Charles, 74, and Camilla, 76, will kickstart their three-week summer vacation on August 21, and will be joined by Prince William, Princess Kate, and their three children.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle buy rights to novel mirroring their lives: report
By Jane Herz
August 6, 2023 8:08pm

After several failed production attempts, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have found themselves yet another Hollywood venture.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have purchased the screen rights to the popular romantic new release “Meet Me at the Lake,” by Carley Fortune, to turn it into a film for Netflix, The Sun reports.

The novel, which spent six weeks on The New York Times bestsellers list since its May release, follows a 30-something woman, whose mother dies in a car crash, and her ensuing love story.

Per Deadline, the Canada-set novel explores themes of “childhood trauma, including losing a parent in a car crash, mental health challenges and post-natal depression.”

The book resembles Harry’s own life — his mother, Princess Diana, died in a Paris car crash in 1997. Harry, 38, and Markle, 42, met in their 30s as well, as Markle filmed “Suits” in Canada.

It’s a deal with Penguin Random House that may have cost nearly $4 million, one unidentified source alleged to The Sun.

The potential new project follows the couple’s 2022 Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” which chronicled their love story and struggles within the royal family, as well as the January release of Harry’s tell-all memoir “Spare.”

According to The Sun’s insider, Fortune’s book especially stood out to the pair.

“The themes of the book gripped the couple, and it was chosen for their first adaptation with Netflix,” the source said.

Harry and Meghan’s new Hollywood move shows how self-centered they are
By Kirsten Fleming
August 7, 2023 5:54pm

The world’s biggest navel-gazers have finally hooked a buzzy new project.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have acquired the film rights to the New York Times bestselling novel “Meet Me at the Lake,” by Carley Fortune, which cost a cool $3 million.

They’ll be developing it for Netflix who, back in 2020, inked the couple to a multi-year $100 million deal.

Is this pivot from focusing on themselves into fiction some sort of redemption?

We all knew the juice had been squeezed out of the lemon after “Spare,” the gag-inducing “Harry & Meghan” docu-series and a failed $20 million “Spotify” deal — in which they failed to produce anything beyond Meghan’s podcast ode to her personal grievances, with bonus celebrity guests.

Could this new move be proof that Harry and Meghan, who are in a rebrand effort under the hand of WME honcho Ari Emmanuel, are finally turning the corner after their high-priced, high-ego failures to launch?

Hardly. It simply underscores their narcissism.

Choosing this romantic novel, which mirrors a fair amount of their own biographies, is yet another sign of the couple’s self-centered and boring devotion to the themes that keep them atop the throne of victimhood.

According to Deadline, the book’s plot points include “childhood trauma, including losing a parent in a car crash” — shades of tragic Princess Diana — as well as “mental health challenges and post-natal depression.”

The story, which is about two 30somethings falling in love, also has a broken friendship (hello, Jessica Mulroney, who Markle reportedly dumped “to look woke“) and takes place in and around Toronto, where Markle’s old TV show “Suits” was filmed.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle make peace offering to Prince William in attempt to end feud: report

By Nika Shakhnazarova
August 8, 2023

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hoping to repair their soured relationship with Prince William by renting an apartment in Kensington Palace, according to a report.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly keen to “make amends” with the Prince and Princess of Wales as the rift between the two rages on.

But despite their alleged gesture, Harry is concerned that the move would make him a “prisoner of the palace,” a royal insider told OK! Magazine.

“He and Meghan are offering to rent an apartment at Kensington Palace and furnish it themselves,” a source told the outlet.

“He hopes that will please William and show that they’re serious about coming back. Harry doesn’t want to become a prisoner of the palace.”

Like I said before, we've stayed at a nice little inexpensive hotel near Paddington Station that I'm sure Harry and Meg would like on their infrequent visits to London. English breakfast is included, and it's within walking distance of Kensington Palace, I believe. I'll be happy to track down the name and address and let him know.
