@AllThatJazzZ

LOVED their stuff. Used to love watching them on the old Ed Sullivan Show back in the days of black and white teebee. Keely Smith really made the act,but Louis did a perfect job of setting her up and responding to her. It was definitely a team act.

AND.....putting aside their theatrics for a moment,they were both damn good musicians/singers. The video you posted happens to one of several of their videos I have saved in my "favorites" box.

@sneakypete

If you're in the mood to hear them again, here's "Old Black Magic" by Louis Prima & Keely Smith

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHcYjPEYSsk

This popped up when I played the video, so I watched it. It was interesting to me because I never knew anything about her life story or how the two got together. This was done in about 2002. She was 74.

Last week, there were news articles about Latin American or Spanish music that said it might well explode in popularity worldwide.

Love this from Colombia, it's really not music with a lot of "sexy" in it, despite the all woman band, love the sound of the trombone, from Colombia. Again, I think they really do great here.

The Wrecking Crew

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZgBexrZvM0

Music lovers will be astonished at the influence The Wrecking Crew wielded over rock and pop music in the 1960s and early 1970s. These unsung instrumentalists were the de-facto backing band on hit records by The Beach Boys, Phil Spector, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra, Sonny & Cher, Elvis, The Monkees and many more. These dedicated musicians brought the flair and musicianship that made the American “West Coast Sound” a dominant cultural force around the world.

This runs 1 hour 35 minutes, 1 hour 42 minutes with the credits (which I always watch). It takes a commitment of time to watch it, but it was worth it to me.

I've heard Marty Robbins' song a million times... so... whatever one cares for. This above must be relatively recent.

This is well done, I just hope they are not used or exploited by those in the Communist era, this is probably from before Castro coming into power.

Even though, they were on for a brief amount of time in El Paso, they had a station, "Radio Fina" that played a whole lot of this vintage music. I may have a cassette or two of it.

I saw the Rolling Stones, 1 week and a half ago, in Houston at NRG stadium.
Since then, I've put 3 CD's in my truck.
To and from work, I've been listening to these 3 classic albums:

Exile on Main Street
Sticky Fingers
