For the occasion, Trump relied on a familiar name from her evening-wear repertoire, Monique Lhuillier.

The silver embroidered evening dress fit well within Trump’s wheelhouse. In the past, she has called on similar pieces for formal occasions such as the champagne Lhuillier dress she donned for the Ford Theatre’s annual gala or the shimmering Dolce & Gabbana dress for this year’s G7 Summit in Taormina. Tonight’s dress featured a velvet ribbon around the waist and a demi-cape that provided a nod to the '20s.

Sorry frankie.   Never even owned flip flops.    Have never worn sweat pants out of the house, and always try to dress appropriately for my age.  As for stilettos.........great for clubbing, trolling for guys, or gals, as the case may be.   Have never walked the runway or red carpet either.  So sorry to disappoint you.

Melania just spoke at the UN- lovely, heartfelt speech about children. No pics yet, but her hot pink dress had gigantic puffy sleeves that did not work. She looked immense. Strange choice.

Well the sleeves are definitely a little too puffy, but she in my humble opinion, still looks feminine and well put together and the color looks great on her and the matching shoes are great! The material appears to be chiffon and other than the sleeves is actually quite pretty.  Regardless of what she wears she will continue to be criticized by all the Michael Bammy fans out there; if she would have worn the dress it would have been seen as a fashion statement.

This was a dress.  But the ginormous sleeves allowed no daylight (especially on video) between Melania's arms and her body ... which made her look huge, and the dress like a coat.
