Objectivity is impossible for her on this! She is in love with Trump and will defend him no matter what he does!

Yeah... I see that.

@Right_in_Virginia

Supposedly they have been working on it for seven long years and not just since November 8th of last year! You would have though they could have gotten their s*&t together in that length of time IF they were serious! The FACT is that they never were and NEED to be outed as the sophists they truly are!!

There are those that still believe a promise is a promise and a lie is a lie!

I am one of those! You can like it or not like it but that's the way it is!

I adore you @Bigun ... and have a favor to ask of you. If war ever comes to our shores and you stumble upon a foxhole with me in it ... please keep walking. We won't need you talking us to death!

Thanks. :beer:

roamer_1, you have to understand...some of Trump's drones will push ANYTHING he gets behind. The substance doesn't matter; he wants it, and that's enough for them.

None of your hard, cold facts will move them.

@CatherineofAragon

Yeah, but maybe it'll shut 'em up.

Now Trump is attacking the Freedom Caucus over this, accusing them of trying to keep Planned Parenthood.

The irony is that the Freedom Caucus, which is very pro-life and against Planned Parenthood, allows P.P. to continue if they stop this plan!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)

He may want to check his facts. Planned Parenthood funding comes under HHS budget, not the ACA. The sad part is he knows this because he made a big deal out of it in his budget discussions.

@AbaraXas

I don't understand why this would even matter to him. After all, didn't he say that PP does wonderful things?

I want it on record right here, right now. My line about giving Trump credit if he does something decent? That's done. I'm over it. Anything good this fraud happens to accomplish will be an accident.

And if anyone has a problem with it, they can take some meds for their indigestion.

 In the current rendition of the Health Care bill, PP funding is cut for only 1 year.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

@Free Vulcan

I agree with this in principle and,despite the president's statement yesterday, ObamaCare has not made American stronger, but Obamacare won't collapse in the traditional sense. In a free market situation, it would of crashed a year or two ago

Instead, deficits, debt, and money printing will be used to prop it up just like Washington DC does with every other boondoggle

Correct. Republicans whose answer is to "just do nothing and let it collapse" are actually saying that it should just continue as is. And you're right -- most of it won't "collapse" at all.

It's the Dems pooh pile, let it go down the toilet.

What good does that do us?

We may want to fantasize that "they'll get all the blame", but that's not true. If it goes down the toilet, Republicans will get the blame because they will have controlled the government when that happened.

The "solution" of doing nothing and "letting it go down the toilet" is the dream scenario for Democrats. The truth is that the Medicaid expansion subsidies will remain, and won't go down the toilet at all. And that's the biggest expense. The parts that might go down completely, like the individual markets, will be blamed on Republicans, who let it happened and didn't pass an alternative.

I suppose some conservatives may take smug satisfaction in being proven "right", but we'll be in an even worse place.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Trump will sign any bill that makes it to his desk. The problem, again, is that Republicans in Congress cannot agree on a bill. Trump has been pushing at both ends to try to make a deal happen, but too many members on each end of the debate won't budge.
