It's the Dems pooh pile, let it go down the toilet.
What good does that do us?
We may want to fantasize that "they'll get all the blame", but that's not true. If it goes down the toilet, Republicans will get the blame because they will have controlled the government when that happened.
The "solution" of doing nothing and "letting it go down the toilet" is the dream scenario for
Democrats. The truth is that the Medicaid expansion subsidies will remain, and won't go down the toilet at all. And that's the biggest expense. The parts that might go down completely, like the individual markets, will be blamed on Republicans, who let it happened and didn't pass an alternative.
I suppose some conservatives may take smug satisfaction in being proven "right", but we'll be in an even worse place.
