Hypothetical: If you were to hide a smartphone from Donny Little Fingers, where would you hide it?

So he wasn't grabbing women down there just because... rather, it was because he needed to make a phone call?

To borrow a phrase, "Oh puhleeeze."

Trump blamed Obama for 122 terrorists.  Of whom, only 9 were actually released during Obama's term of office.

Can't Trump take the time to check his facts before running his mouth?  (Rhetorical question: we know he can't.)

I repeat....

it's asinine.

We already know that Obama is responsible for releasing terrorists from Gitmo that returned to the battlefield and killed yet more Americans.  Hell, that Bergdahl swap he negotiated was a really sweet deal for America's terrorist enemies.  That Obama didn't release those specific 122 is just more nitpicking bullshit, IMO.

No quarter given to the enemy within...ever.

I had to dig for a while, through stories that predate this business from Trump, to find out Obama released over 150 prisoners from Gitmo, and it's too early to say how many are back on the battlefield because he dumped a lot of them during just the last few months of his Presidency.

That said, this probably wasn't the best directed Tweet from The Donald.

I have read a theory that Donald Trump's imprecision on his statements is actually a master stroke.

In the past,  many is the time i've argued with people who know less about a subject than do I,  so occasionally in such circumstances I will say something deliberately wrong,  knowing full well that by working to prove me wrong,  they will in fact discover the actual truth.

It is the actual truth that i'm trying to get across to them,  and sometimes a completely incorrect statement is what it takes to get them to dig for it.

People just like to go "Ah HA!  I've got you!"   and so you give them a chance to make you look stupid and they will often take it.   In the meantime,  they actually learn what you wanted to get across to them in the first place.

I've been reading commentary from various places (Scott Adams Blog,  et al)   that this is exactly the technique Trump is employing to get his point across.   The Media,  quick to look for anything wrong in what Trump says,   will often contradict him in such a way that it reveals more than they wanted.

Someone recently pointed out that Trump's twitter about "Wiretapping"   has destroyed the media's "The Russians hacked the election" effort.  (Intended to undermine Trumps legitimacy.)

Since he said he was wiretapped and surveyed,   the media have now been asked how all this information about "Russian contacts"  with Trump associates was discovered if not through wiretapping?

This put the media into an incredibly uncomfortable position.   They now have to defend the Russian connections at the expense of admitting surveillance,   or they have to drop the Russian Hacking,  and assert there was no surveillance.

Trump looks and acts like a fool,   but for some reason the consequences of what he does always seems to bitchslap his enemies and leave them reeling.

I think what Trump has been doing is aptly summed up in my tagline:

‘What all the wise men promised has not happened, and what all the damned fools said would happen has come to pass.’

You forgot to mention his small penis which he is ashamed of and how stupid he is.    Make sure you mention that next time.   We don't want people to get the idea that you are just mocking his name and his fingers.

If you are going to offer *NOTHING*  but an ad hominem,   make it a good one.

I mean,  what would this forum be without some inane pointless mocking of the current President who happens to be the representative of our party and our coalition?

Put a little effort into it next time,  will ya?

Sounds like geometric logic to me.

Oh puhleeeze.   Is the idiot left really going to try to claim that Obama has NOT released terrorists from Gitmo that have returned to the battlefield, only to kill yet more Americans?  Really???

How does that change the fact he was very blatantly wrong on his numbers?

Trump does this because he so desperately wants to believe the worst so he can use it.

Basically the same reason his supporters post half the false crap they post.

Another misleading post.  All of those prisoners were risk ranked on possible further intevention.  GWB released what was considered "lower risk". detainees

I don't think anything I said can be construed as me having felt personally slighted.    I didn't feel personally slighted,  and I apologize if I somehow conveyed the impression that I was.

I just think there are better methods of debate and discussion than ad hominems.  Even directed at others.

Trump has not put out false info.  Releasing lots of terrorists, BAD!!!!

Even if 113 of 122 are of Bush vintage.  As another poster noted, Obama's terrorist vintages have not 'aged' yet.

I am getting the distinct impression.... that it doesn't matter to some folks here whether Trump is right or is wrong.... on this or on anything else.   To that faction he will always BE wrong.
