Mrs Bigun has been working on me for 49 years now.  Might get it done eventually!

Why get angry?  Liberalism/Leftism is a mental disorder and a chronic illness.  It's akin to catching the permanent flu.  They can't help it if they talk and act stoopid....lol.

I don't blame you a bit. But consider the source. A guy that wants more Sharia imported, mocks conservatives and Christians, wants infanticide to be kept legal etc. In short, no one of any worth as a human. Use him for rhetorical target practice, laugh at his expense and help ensure his only redeeming value to the world is serving as an object of scorn.

No....good fortune or luck has nothing to do with it.  It you work hard to find and get a job with a good company (in my case it was usually large energy corporations), you deserve to reap the rewards of being employed by that company.  I took classes on my own to prepare for getting those jobs at my own expense.  People that neither take the time OR the effort or expenditure of money it may take to improve their skills have nobody to blame but themselves..... and certainly not due to "bad luck".  That, quite frankly, is bullshit.  Leftist bullshit, in fact.

I agree.  That is leftist.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

If they had no effect on my I'd agree, but look at all the stupid laws we've been saddled with because of them.

Any port in a storm my friend.  Maybe you were too hard to train, maybe she likes the cut of your wallet.  Whatever keeps her home for you when you get off a hard day at work.  (with a beer in her hand to offer!)

Where and why is it the job of the government to make sure that people have health insurance?

What happened to personal responsibility and taking care of yourself?

You seem to forget that the Constitution says you have the opportunity for life liberty and the pursuit of happiness...no where in there does it say it's guaranteed.

Your life is supposed to be what YOU make of it...good bad succeed or fail it's all dependent upon the individual and the effort they put into it.

Agreed.  And - why is it that since you, or I, or anyone may have reached some measure of "success" we must be compelled to pay for subsidizing the system for others?  Regardless of how the Roberts Court or others view it, the ACA is the quintessential redistribution of wealth vehicle.

Aw Hell no!  Those folks are tough as nails.

That reminds me, you mentioned how long you're been hitched.  My Mommy's birthday was yesterday, and when I was visiting her and Dad, she mentioned they've been married 70 years this May.  70!

They no longer infuriate me.  I got over that mistake years ago....(letting them get to you).  What I enjoy now is shooting down their idiocy with logic and facts, and watching them squirm.  It's point and laugh time when lefties are spewing.  And like I said.... most Americans just bitch-slapped them AND their leftist BS and insanity last November.... good and hard.

They're still reeling and whining about it.

Good points, and I shall go calm down a bit.  I do find their "Tears of November" delicious, every time I see them parade in the street it's another flavor of victory.

LOL!  Yeah, thank God things have changed in this country for folks with my heritage.  Half of my ancestors were Irish (considered as the Mexican illegals are now).... and the other half were Cherokee (about as welcome as a group of black gang-bangers at a Charity ball).   Yeah, privileged.  Nothing to inherit from either side except the pride of the knowledge that both groups were hard-working people that helped to make this country great and that didn't take OR need government hand-outs or freebies funded by others.

Thank you kindly. Mom's 89, Dad's 92.  We've got to plan something for the Anniversary!  We live two blocks away from them (literally 2 minute drive).  This is why I knew 33 years ago I needed to stay in Phoenix.

We reached our measure of success through sheer luck.  We didn't build it.

You miss the point.   Of course you work hard.  But so do many others who don't have the good fortune to work for a large corporation that can afford good health benefits.   The current employer-based system is ARBITRARY in who has access to quality health care, and who doesn't.

Why should the basic question of whether one lives or dies depend on whether one works for a large and generous employer?

No man is an island, sis.

It was the government that set the rules that cause such arbitrary differences in outcomes between equally virtuous and hard-working people.  It's the moral imperative of government to try to fix it.
