New Emails in Clinton Case Came From Anthony Weiner’s Electronic Devices

WASHINGTON — Federal law enforcement officials said Friday that the new emails uncovered in the closed investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server were discovered after the F.B.I. seized electronic devices belonging to Huma Abedin, and aide to Mrs. Clinton, and her husband, Anthony Weiner.

The F.B.I. told Congress that it had uncovered new emails related to the closed investigation into whether Mrs. Clinton or her aides had mishandled classified information, potentially reigniting an issue that has weighed on the presidential campaign and offering a lifeline to Donald J. Trump less than two weeks before the election.

In a letter to Congress, the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, said that emails had surfaced in an unrelated case, and that they “appear to be pertinent to the investigation.”

Mr. Comey said the F.B.I. was taking steps to “determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation.” He said he did not know how long it would take to review the emails, or whether the new information was significant.

The announcement comes as Mr. Trump has fallen behind Mrs. Clinton in most national polls and in many battleground states. Polls have been tightening in recent days, however, amid the daily release of hacked Clinton campaign emails published by WikiLeaks.

Mr. Trump seized on the F.B.I. action on Friday at a rally in New Hampshire. To cheers of “lock her up” from his supporters, Mr. Trump said: “Hillary Clinton’s corruption is on a scale we have never seen before. We must not let her take her criminal scheme into the Oval Office.”

After deriding the F.B.I. for weeks as inept and corrupt, Mr. Trump went on to praise the law enforcement agency.

The FBI is corrupt.  They've lready covered up multiple felonies related to data which caused grave damaged to national security.  They made deals to destroy evidence.  At most this is intended to cover up more crimes and protect comey in case Trump wins.

Meanwhile, putting on my tinfoil hat, what if there is something significant there, and Hillary is in a position after the election where she has to step aside?  I assume Kaine would then be President-elect and have to appoint a VP. Indeed, the information came from both Wiener's unit and Huma's unit.

Which lends us new and unpleasant insight into the Huma/Hillary relationship...

Seriously, though .... this means they got to Huma's e-mails by other means, and now they've got Wiener's e-mails, too (making me wonder why they'd be relevant to the e-mail case).

Any immunity deal with Huma relative to the e-mail is case probably does not extend to the Wiener investigation, so those e-mails and her culpability for same are probably open to investigation/indictment (if warranted).

I guess the FBI is investigating Wienergate because he's alleged to have been in contact with underage girls.
