It has everything to do with PC. You just made the argument of a "safe space" liberal. Most of middle america still believes in traditional gender roles and don't like all this women's empowerment stuff. Conservatism has nothing to do with feminism, which is the case you tried to make from the right which is ridiculous. Ask evangelicals. Do you believe this? If not, you're center right and not conservative. You can't be a Lena Dunham and be a conservative. You have to choose one. Donald is running for president, not to create a "safe space" for pro PC "conservatives."
Let's talk about "traditional gender rolls" and Donald Trump.
During his first marriage, he had Ivana working in Atlantic City away from the family. How traditional is that?
It did come in handy, because that's when he started messing around on her with Marla Maples. How traditional is that?
Ivana quit and came back to New York because she wanted to spend more time with family. He promptly put her back to work in the Trump organization. How traditional is that?
Ivana found out about Maples and they ended up divorcing. How traditional is that?
Ivana got a nice settlement because the Judge threw out the prenup. He threw it out because Ivana was able to easily prove, with all the time spent away from the family working in NYC and Atlantic City, that she had contributed materially to the success of the organization. THAT is the reason why he does not want wife #2 and #3 working. It has nothing to do with traditional gender rolls.
Adultery (which he bragged about in his books), objectification of women (even his two daughters, such as when he and Marla were on TV and he started talking if infant Tiffany would develop breasts like her mother), referring to women in crude and insulting terms (pieces of a$$, got to treat them like shit, pigs), etc.
I don't know what kind of family you grew up in, mind was very traditional. The men in my family do not act or treat women like that. I cannot imagine my husband doing any of those things. It has nothing to do with "pc," it's about respecting and honoring someone you have vowed to love, honor, and protect.
