So what is the solution if Trump is not the answer? Cruz run in 2020?

Right now my plan is to vote for Ted Cruz in November. There is nothing on Earth that could make me support Trump.

It has everything to do with PC. You just made the argument of a "safe space" liberal. Most of middle america still believes in traditional gender roles and don't like all this women's empowerment stuff. Conservatism has nothing to do with feminism, which is the case you tried to make from the right which is ridiculous.  Ask evangelicals. Do you believe this? If not, you're center right and not conservative. You can't be a Lena Dunham and be a conservative. You have to choose one. Donald is running for president, not to create a "safe space" for pro PC "conservatives."

Let's talk about "traditional gender rolls" and Donald Trump.

During his first marriage, he had Ivana working in Atlantic City away from the family.  How traditional is that?

It did come in handy, because that's when he started messing around on her with Marla Maples.  How traditional is that?

Ivana quit and came back to New York because she wanted to spend more time with family.  He promptly put her back to work in the Trump organization.  How traditional is that?

Ivana found out about Maples and they ended up divorcing.  How traditional is that?

Ivana got a nice settlement because the Judge threw out the prenup.  He threw it out because Ivana was able to easily prove, with all the time spent away from the family working in NYC and Atlantic City, that she had contributed materially to the success of the organization.   THAT is the reason why he does not want wife #2 and #3 working.  It has nothing to do with traditional gender rolls.

Adultery (which he bragged about in his books), objectification of women (even his two daughters, such as when he and Marla were on TV and he started talking if infant Tiffany would develop breasts like her mother), referring to women in crude and insulting terms (pieces of a$$, got to treat them like shit, pigs), etc.

I don't know what kind of family you grew up in, mind was very traditional.  The men in my family do not act or treat women like that.  I cannot imagine my husband doing any of those things.  It has nothing to do with "pc," it's about respecting and honoring someone you have vowed to love, honor, and protect.

In my mind, The reason liberalism succeeds is not due to merit - It has been proven over and over yet again that liberalism/socialism/communism sucks a country dry and leaves it's people dead or destitute.

Liberalism is succeeding here because it has no opposition.
Every time we submit, and vote for the lesser of two evils, we get more evil: More liberalism and less Conservatism.
To oppose liberalism, one need only have Conservative stalwarts.
How does one get Conservative stalwarts by voting for liberals?

The 'lesser evil' meme is the culprit.

I will cast my vote for Conservatives. Period.
This year, that will be Darrell Castle of the Constitution Party.

But feel free to keep banging your head on the wall, hoping for different results.

That was one really great post - And it likewise points directly to character, and why perusing a candidate's history exposes his character, good or bad.

How does one rely upon the oath of office taken by Trump, when he has so very plainly failed to recognize and keep his oaths in the past?
Can one who cannot even keep his oath for the love of his own wife be trusted to keep the far less personal oath of office?

That is a critical question for those who dismiss Trump's infidelity and immorality as no more than "We're not electing a preacher" nonsense.

Donald Trump cannot be trusted about anything.  NO serial adulterer can.

It's pretty much that simple.

Yes, it is...  And especially, I would bet, that's the first response as to why he is not trusted by women... with 'boorish ass' being second.
The Father has given women a pretty good discernment into the honor of men. And they call them on it every day. Rightly so.

Hi, nice to meet you! Great post.

But I disagree on some fronts. A lot of men do those things. A lot of fraternities do what you say to women. People call people pigs. It's not nice, it's life however.  Clinton, JFK did those things for sure. We need to stop worry about other peoples personal lives and look at what we face. All candidates get destroyed for running as an (R). I support Trump because he doesn't play the media games, nor those who demand everything from a repub candidate and complain when reality strikes.

@LadyLiberty  @roamer_1  @Sanguine

I've just been thinking about how very sad it is that Donald Trump's hideous behavior is poisoning the minds of young men like this poor devotee into thinking that treating women badly is OK and that defending women's honor is just "PC."

I've thought often of the damage that Trump is doing to Conservatism and America, but this thread has made me weep for the young men who perhaps were not raised well enough to understand that respect for women is not only Christian, and a traditional value, but also a Conservative principle to be upheld.

I don't think we ever fully knew the damage Bill Clinton did to the morality and the very lives of young people, and I doubt we'll ever know how much damage Donald Trump is doing to those who don't have fully developed values themselves.

Well on that note I have to say Woman did more harm to women in the 60's than any man ever did!......the guys just went along....few men would deny what woman were offering 'for Free' without commitments........nor would they speak against women getting rid of the natural consequences to support the children that came after, rather than force a shotgun wedding.

Woman are their own worst enemies.....they handed over a lot of respect men once had for women...and I am a woman!

Nonetheless, it doesn't excuse a man like Trump's total degradation of women.

Even though SOME women "handed over a lot of respect"  ALL of us did not do that.

I'm not going to excoriate myself because of what others did any more with gender than I do with politics, faith, or any other realm.

We are each responsible for our own behavior............. and Donald Trump's is abysmal.

Well I get weary of hearing men get hammered all the time by woman....my gosh if men picked on and jabbed on  woman the way women hand  out so frequently about men...every woman today would have them in court!  And most of those doing so are married woman.

Woman have hammered men for so long men don't know what they are anymore as men.

I recall a Pastor gave a sermon about that one time....he told the men that THEY had allowed woman to take from them the roles God intended they should have....then he listed all the areas men had yielded to woman who are not designed to handle......then he told the men...TAKE IT BACK!..and told them how.

He was so right in every area he spoke of. ...and evidence of that today is how many woman today that want to go back into the home and take care of their families, while they whine and bellyach about how stressed and tired they are.

God knew what he was doing when he designed men and woman to compliment each other......not fight for power!

It took a LOT of courage for you to say that and it is true! Every word of it!

Except it wasn't conservative women who did that.  It was liberals.

And we are talking about Trump's total disregard of women in general, political perspective aside.

So @WAC 's blaming women for the mess we are in is only partially true.

I, myself, had no part in it.  And I was part of the 60's.......

Not to distract from your very valid point, but to enhance it:

ALL of the things traditionally called a man's honor are on the chopping block. <- this is quintessential.
Not to mention that it also diminishes all the things that are traditionally called a woman's honor <- this too, is quintessential
ALL of the things that traditionally (distinct from PC) defined polite society are on the chopping block.

It is in part, the final disassembly of American traditional values. I cannot lay that all at Trump's feet, but he is yet another catalyst, and the response he is getting, an indicator.

Perhaps it is time to define the difference between PC and tradition. It seems folks can't see the difference any longer.  @don-o , this might be another good subject for your board.

I don't hammer men in general.  Just vulgar boors like Trump.

He thinks women were designed to please him, and not to compliment him.  He uses them and tosses them aside when he's done, and he speaks in disgustingly vulgar terms about them.......including as has been mentioned above, his own daughters.

He is clueless as to what your pastor preached about, because he is clueless as to what the Word of God says.

As his deeply and disgustingly amoral life has proven over and over again.

THAT is the point here.

Good post.  The problem is clearly not all at Trump's feet.

But he is a perpetrator of the continuance of the leftist "sexual revolution" that has destroyed the very fabric of our culture.
