Gingrich: Trump's attacks on judge 'unacceptable'

Quote
Donald Trump supporter and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich isn't on board with Trump's attacks on a federal judge.

“I don’t know what Trump’s reasoning was, and I don’t care,” Gingrich said in an email to the Washington Post. “His description of the judge in terms of his parentage is completely unacceptable.”

Trump has continually bashed U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is overseeing lawsuits over Trump's real estate education program Trump University. Trump claims that because Curiel is of Mexican descent, he is inherently biased against him and should recuse himself. Curiel was born in Indiana to immigrant parents.

"I think I’m going to do very well with Hispanics, but we’re building a wall. He’s a Mexican. We’re building a wall between here and Mexico," Trump said in a CNN interview.

Speaker Paul Ryan, shortly after endorsing Trump, also condemned Trump's argument against the judge, saying he "completely disagrees" with his reasoning.

2 GOP Speakers embarrassed.  Get used to it Newt and Ryan.

Too bad Rinos and #neverTrumpers, Its already turning against the Judge. Seems hes a Bigot, far left liberal, pro-illegal, pro AZTLAN, anti-wall anti_American who loves Obama who also violated Judicial Ethics for failing to disclose potential conflicts and did not give Trump a fair trial. The longer this goes on the more people Trump pulls into his support.

Well, Newt will be left on the train tracks. These days reasoned, constructive criticism is unwelcome on the Trump Train.

Trump is right to point out that this judge has a bias toward him.

The only bias is coming from Trump.

This kind of behavior makes me worry too, in that just beyond this kind of behavior would be dropping a racial pejorative. And that would really sink a candidate (I'd think).  Maybe it's a very remote possibility.

Maybe the criticism is warranted; I watched the interview with Jake Tapper and sometimes, one has to say these things. I'd not forget Senator Joseph McCartney's "have you no shame" moment in the 1950s.

Given that the trial isn't even set until after the election in November, some folks may view your other representations about the case with some serious skepticism.

Pre-trial proceedings have been happening and the Judge has been universal in his rulings on motions against Trump. Two things jump out at me. One The Designated Plaintiff was found unfit and withdrew so the case lost its plaintiff and should have been dismissed without another one. He refused. Two, The Judge on his own  without it before him advised his Democrat Donor buddy Plaintiff attorney to add RICO charges.

Exactly.  I find this very interesting as Gingrich was on his list of suggested VP's. I think Trump will be left with few to pick from; jelly doughnut boy or Corker.

And how do you know its not an act to make Gingrich more palatable as VP pick at the Convention since he stands up to Trump?

Why would Trump care if Gingrich is palatable or not?

Doubt Trump cares. It has to be voted on at the Convention and Gingrich has a lot of negative baggage.

Trump is right to point out that this judge has a bias toward him.
Then why hasn't he made a formal motion of bias and a request that the judge recuse himself?

When was the last time a convention voted down a vice-presidential nominee?

Face it, nobody in politics has ever damaged their reputation by speaking out against a stone bigot like Trump.  Gingrich knows what he's doing.

Trump is showing his true colors.  He feels he can change any outcome by making outlandish comments and insults and throwing money at the situation. He will do the same as president.  I agree 100% with Ryan and Gingrich; his attacks on a federal judge are unacceptable, uncalled for and clearly demonstrate Trump has no regard or respect for anyone that doesn't agree with him and feels he is above the law. He continues to demonstrate how dangerous he would be as POTUS.

Trump is right to point out that this judge has a bias toward him.

The problem is the way he points it out.  Everything he says ends up getting lost in the name calling, which, by the way, is a commonly used left wing tactic.  Now the judge in this case becomes another one of Trump's 'victims' and gets public sympathy.

Bottom line is Trump can't keep his fat, juvenile mouth shut.

Oh that one is easy.
1. People are looking into the judge. Its uncovered hes a piece of work for La Raza, Illegals, AZTlan etc.. The More Americans learn who this sitting Judge is and who he is biased/has an agenda for helps Trump's campaign, shows the corruption in the system, builds support for the wall. etc.
2. He has plenty of time and the case is very likely to be transferred no matter what.

When was the last time the Party openly opposed the Presumptive Nominee like here?

When was the last time a GOP Party nominee had such a vile, vulgar mouth and so viciously spews verbal attacks on individuals and groups of people that in doing so incites violence?
