Trump is going to pick up votes if that's true.

Like your hero, this is all about votes with you.

When has Trump EVER picked up votes?  He's been losing votes in every primary. Always underperforms the polls. Never breaks 50%.

The color photo is on Google. You can see for yourself. This is baloney.  There was no need to "order" it.

Everyone isn't as smart as you. Some in their irrational attempt to destroy Trump, act, post and say things without thinking.

Uh oh.  That sounds pretty close to calling me names and insulting me.  Alert to the moderators.  I am being attacked here.  Oh wounded me.  How vicious of you.  How can you resort to name calling?  Don't you know the rules around here?  Oh woe is me.  Let me gather together an anti-Trump mob so they can help me shame you.

Remember that according to the moderators here we are not allowed to have any general opinion as to the morality and integrity of Trump supporters. That is considered a "personal attack" to them.

I dont think the inquirer would sully their new reputation for uncovering these bombshell stories just for trump

The same source that broke the John Edwards affair.
The same source that broke Tiger Woods mistresses before his wife knew.
The same source that broke Jesse Jacksons love child.
The same source the broke Rush Limbaughs painkiller addiction.
The same source the broke Dog the Bounty Hunters racist phone call
The same source that broke Mel Gibsons divorce and rants.
The same source that broke Billy Joel’s divorce

Their reputation involves around creating scandalous stories to get grandmothers to pick up the magazine at the check-out line. They don't care about a reputation for accuracy.

This is...
The same source that falsely reported on George and Laura getting a divorce.
The same source that falsely reported on Sarah Palin having an affair.
The same source that falsely reported on Sarah Palin covering up her daughter's pregnancy by pretending it was hers.
The same source that falsely reported on Bill Cosby killing his son.
The same source that falsely reported on Ben Carson leaving a sponge in a patient's brain.
The same source that falsely reported on Rubio's 'gay sex arrest'.
The same source that falsely reported on Rubio's cocaine abuse.
The same source that falsely reported on Newt's wife being a Lesbian.
The same source that falsely reported on Sarah Palin being a Lesbian.

....The National Enquirer has had about a half-dozen good hits to thousands of bogus stories. They put out a magazine full of tabloid stories every single week for about 40 years and they may have had a half-dozen winners, the remaining 99%+ have been bogus.

Just scan through their covers and see how many came to be true.

Oh.  I didn't know that.  Hmm.  Maybe I should be glad to see them scurry off into their "safe space' caucus corners.   That way I can't accidentally offend them.

It's very easy to accidentally offend them.

Just avoid the word "some" and you may be OK.  They take umbrage if you say "SOME Trump supporters" and assume you're bashing them personally.

It's kinda weird....   ^-^
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

Call ted supporters scumbags, doesn't bother me at all. It's your opinion.

Call me specifically a scumbag, that's a personal attack.
Agreed.  Maybe we should lay off the insults across the board. Criticize the candidatesand their flacks,  if we must, but personal attacks are not helpful.

The following are all personal attacks according to the moderators:

1) Americans are idiots
2) voters are idiots

Etc. etc. etc.

We should sue! :)

You should have quit while you were ahead.

Neither of your examples are nearly the same as saying " Donald Trump is a scumbag.  And Trump supporters are scumbags too".

You're a troll, WTF.  I poop-stirrer.

I've got you in my 1st heat.   Congratulations.

I remember seeing the Sarah Palin "lesbian secret" headline.

The secret? She made fun of lesbians.

Which, of course, is more scandalous in the eyes of Americans these days than actually being a lesbian.

I think what the mods are trying to quell is people directly insulting other members.

Unfortunately, for some, mentioning 'Trump Supporters' or 'Cruz Supporters', they feel it is an attack on them personally because they are a Trump or Cruz Supporter, so they put themselves under the blanket of the attack.

Of course, it is easier said than done when you have a topic like this where a specific candidate's supporter goes after another candidate's supporter- it is actual news, it is actually about campaign supporters, but it has nothing to do with anyone here.

Still, saying a blanket 'Trump supporters are...' or 'Cruz supporters are...' is what seems to be taking a thread down the path of what many consider personal attacks on other members.

I'm in no way saying I'm innocent by bringing this up. I know I'm a huge bleep and am prone to say exactly what I think without consideration of others.

Just being one of the tech geeks here, I get to understand how the bosses try to help the site along and I know they are trying hard to make it a welcoming place without it being a censorship drama. They really do try their best.  All we can do is help them out by checking ourselves. They don't want to be big brother like FR.

Amen, Ab. Any chance some of our fellow posters could lay off the "You're a troll" or
"You're stupid"-type discourse? Dare I hope?

Yep, but I'm just some a-hole on the Internet. I'm not asking to be Commander in Chief of the young men and women who pledge their lives to this country nor am I asking to be a representative of the US to the world and a figurehead of our values.

I wouldn't want myself in either of those roles and if I was going to even attempt to run for that job, I would realize that the job is bigger than my ego or mouth and would consider all my words and deeds as representative of the United States, now and going forward, and the values we represent.

Am I allowed to weigh in on this?

Seems way too much is being made of the scumbag comment.  Jazzhead said it in general, not to a specific person.  I think it's true to the extent they defend their scumbag candidate for his scumbag ways -- AND ONLY IN THAT CONTEXT.   It is a generality to say that people who defend evil are also bad.

Hmm...Scumbag Donald.  I like it.  Great response when Scumbag Donald uses the term "lying Ted".

I like this forum.  If it goes too hyper sensitive or everyone off in their own "safe spaces" I might look elsewhere.  I'm sure I'm not going to be overly missed since I've been here such a short time, but thought I would give my opinion.  If a poster says to another poster, "you're a scumbag" then call him on it.  If he says in general "Trump is a scumbag and so are his supporters," then I think m a y b e ask him to qualify it better.  He could have said "Anyone who supports Trump's scumbag actions becomes a scumbag with him."  Something like that.  But we are not children.  Everyone knows when reading the Jazzhead comment that he meant to associate it that way.  Wasn't it Trump who bashed being "politically correct" by holding back saying what you really mean for fear of offending?  This all seems soooo hypocritical coming from that camp.

I agree with this.

....so I rest my case.  Trump is nothing more than a siphon for the DEMS. He started the attacks and all this bull crap rather than sticking to important issues that our country is facing.  Good grief! First the nudies of Trump's wife and now the National Enquirer story about Cruz's alleged affairs (which by the way Trump has been threatening).  This is absolutely insane!!

Meanwhile ... the criminal and socialist are waiting in the wings for Trump to totally destroy the GOP so they can destroy him in the general as planned!

We're all just human beings, some more well known than others. Some more crude and rude than others. I had a very good friend who swore in paragraphs. College grad who went on to have a very successful business career.  I saw him again at a class reunion a few years ago. Same old Dave. His language was so much a part of his personna that it offended few.

Have you ever listened to the taped conversations of former presidents, military leaders and politicians? It isn't always pretty and civil. I'm a realist.

The thing is that it's not just words.

I have always maintained that a well-timed swear word carries a shock value that can be far more effective than any verbose, flowery ten-dollar words could ever manage.

The thing is, I don't think I've caught Trump swearing, but even so, his actions speak for themselves. More importantly, the actions of his campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who seems to have his fingerprints on almost every dirty trick Trump has pulled so far, speak even louder, and his continued association with that goon says everything you need to know. Between Trump's unhinged ego and Lewandowski's tricks (sometimes even turning into physical altercations), they're truly nasty people.
