WAPO has NEVER once endorsed a Republican for the presidency.  Just sayin.  @Kamaji

I wasn't reading the op-ed pages for their political endorsements at the time.  Back in the day it was not nearly as offensive as it is now; there was still some journalistic integrity left back then.

I'll take your word for that.  :patriot:

It changed, mainly with Nixon, My folks used to get the Post and the Star, the latter was more conservative in its outlook. Later they got the Baltimore sun instead of the Washington Post. I'd read both, and make up my mind, but the Post went off the rails some time during the Nixon Administration.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I remember the Star.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

I'd read both, and make up my mind, but the Post went off the rails some time during the Nixon Administration.

I think the WashPo was always left of center, but in the 1980s it was only moderately left of center, generally, and had still not gone over to the dark side of suppressing the truth for the sake of a political agenda.  Their bias was there, but it was more acknowledged.

Then again, back in the early 1980s, I wasn't an avid political reader of any paper, either.

Also, back in the early 1980s, at the beginning of my misspent yout', I was more liberal than I am now in certain respects.

The protests in AUS are getting serious.  It's pretty bad when a leftist government has lost Melbourne, VIC.

Or, behind the president's back, on the phone with potential adversaries (ahem, China).

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists

I'm guessing they wouldn't go to Palestine and fly the fruit colors but once.

Seems like somehow or another, these idiots confuse being anti-Jewish with being pro-homo.

Granted,Muslims DO seem to be rather fond of humping little boys, but AFAIK,they don't like people talking about it.
