I had a blowgun. Guy I bought it from sold it to me because he'd nailed a jerk he was working with in the hind cheek and sank the dart in a couple inches with just a puff.... He knew he'd want to do that again, so he sold the blowgun rather than just get fired over it.

Good thing I didn't know about those in grade school, that's all I can say.

That reminds me...I got that crossbow with a pistol grip.  It's an "Assault Crossbow."

Yes, but it's impressive, what a wrist-rocket can do.  I just did a quick look at Amazon, and there are some really tricked out models.  And .50 caliber ammo bags.

Mine is a stock rocket, modified with the surgical tubing, and a homemade modified fold-down whisker rest for crossbow bolts and fishing arrows... a nut on the front holds a PVC fishing spool...Other than that it's a 12 dollar rocket.

An important piece, that resides in my go-bag all the time. Pretty good with it... I can knock a grouse in the head more times than not... Barking a squirrel... not quite as well... But if I am ever caught out, that's the tool, rather than using up limited ammo.

A Wisconsin man busted for selling weed and possessing other drugs told police he ingested his dead mother’s ashes, a report said Thursday.

Austin Schroeder, 26, allegedly sold drugs to undercover cops a number of times from November 2019 to January 2020 in Waukesha County, west of Milwaukee, a local Fox affiliate reported.

A drug task force executed a search warrant for his apartment on Jan. 10 and found glass pipes, MDMA, bongs and an “unknown powder,” according to the report. ...

He told cops he mixed his mother’s ashes with a variety of substances, “some of which he ultimately ingested,” according to the report. ... Full story at NY Post

Deaf man from Brooklyn sues Pornhub over lack of closed captioning

A deaf man from Brooklyn is moaning that he can’t fully enjoy videos on Pornhub because they don’t provide closed captioning – so he has filed a class-action lawsuit alleging the site is in violation of federal law.

Yaroslav Suris claims the porn site has violated his and others’ rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act because the deaf and hearing-impaired can’t understand the audio portion of the skin flicks. ...

“We understand that Yaroslav Suris is suing Pornhub for claiming we’ve denied the deaf and hearing-impaired access to our videos,” Pornhub VP Corey Price told TMZ.

“While we do not generally comment on active lawsuits, we’d like to take this opportunity to point out that we do have a closed captions category,” he added.

Rocker Jackson Browne once sung about “Lawyers in Love,” but never like this: A public defender in Allegheny County is accused of stabbing her fiance, who is a fellow public defender.

The Associated Press cites a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that Elizabeth LaForgia, 31, has been charged in the stabbing in Avalon, Pa.

Police there say she stabbed her fiancé and fellow public defender George Saba with a 12-inch kitchen knife -- and kicked him in the crotch. The incident followed a night of drinking last week, police said.  ...

Not surprising.  Seems most incidents like this between family members, spouses and friends occur after one or both drink too much. 

Some people just should never drink alcohol.  When I drank, I either fell asleep or mellowed out.  But for so many, alcohol makes them mean and/or violent
