Derek Chauvin could be guilty or innocent, but he 100% has not received a fair trial.
The jury should have been sequestered from the beginning and it should have taken place far away from Minneapolis.
Regardless of the verdict reached, this was not a fair trial.

A verdict that fast is likely a compromise - all agree to take 2nd degree murder off the shelf and accept third degree or manslaughter. Limited deliberation time indicates none were interested in thoroughly reviewing all the evidence introduced as that would take longer.

I think we all know that they won't come back with a not guilty verdict.
From a psychological perspective, I can understand the position the jurors are in. This case should’ve never been charged. There’s a lot of criticism to how this cop handled the situation, but nothing amounts to murder or at least that can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
If you were a juror on this case, would you trust that someone like Keith Ellison, the media, or Kamala Harris won’t leak your name out?

B) Keep in mind, this vote was one step removed from an actual up or down vote to censure Waters. Members are not recorded as being for or against censuring her. This is just on whether or not they want to kill the censure resolution offered by McCarthy.

They'll buy cars, drugs, give it to their relatives, who will buy cars and drugs. They'll buy boats and discover they're dirt poor in less than two years. I mean, they're relatives who hit the lottery because one of their own OD'd on fentanyl. How smart can they be?
And the parties are going to be even more intense because the cops won't want to get involved. So more of them will die.
Question to ask is this: How much do the scum-bucket lawyers get from the 27 million?

This all reminds me of a scene from the movie John Adams where Abigail and John are outside in the snow talking about the coming war. Abigail's closing remark was "I fear it will never begin".
Remember that John Adams had the courage to be the legal defense for one of the soldiers tried for murder in the Boston Massacre, and won an acquittal, stating that every man deserves representation.
Derek Chauvin was denied a fair trial.

Well, if he's anything like Tom Bradley of Los Angeles and the verdict is not stern enough, he'll come out and demand more rioting.
He might demand more rioting if the accused is convicted of first degree murder, 95 counts and sentenced to death by hanging after facing the firing squad from inside the gas chamber. Biden is a fool that way.

Cruz is right. I could not believe the President of the United States said this about a trial: "I’m praying that verdict is the right verdict, which I think it’s overwhelming, in my view. I wouldn’t say that unless the jury was sequestered now.â€
I agree with Cruz. The Pres. has huge power to sway people's minds - he has caused a mistrial if Chauvin is found guilty. (That is fine with me, the cop did not intend to kill. He was keeping the man still until the ambulance could get there. Plus, Floyd was yelling about not being able to breathe when he was inside the car. Chauvin had no knee anywhere near him at that time.)

There will be a murder conviction, the sentence will be the maximum the law allows, appeals will be denied, and he might still even have to undergo the double-jeopardy of a civil rights trial AND then the civil trial that will strip his family of their home and assets.

The jury can convict Mr. Chauvin of any combination of the charges. Judge Peter Cahill explained the charges to the jurors in a lengthy presentation Monday morning, including all the elements of each charge that must be proven to sustain a conviction. In no case does the state have to prove that Mr. Chauvin had intended to kill Mr. Floyd, but all the charges require proof that he caused his death.
A conviction of second-degree murder requires proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr. Chauvin caused Mr. Floyd’s death while assaulting him, by intentionally applying unlawful force without consent that resulted in substantial bodily harm. It isn’t necessary for the state to prove that Mr. Chauvin intended to inflict substantial bodily harm.
The judge explained that third-degree murder requires proof Mr. Chauvin caused Mr. Floyd’s death by committing an eminently dangerous act that was highly likely to cause death and showed a reckless disregard for human life. To convict Mr. Chauvin of second-degree manslaughter, the jurors would need to conclude that culpable negligence and reckless actions by Mr. Chauvin caused Mr. Floyd’s death.

The warden will have to keep him from the general population as the blacks will kill him before he could be protected by the Brotherhood if there is a group of them there. In Texas, the State sent ex-prisoners to me for psychological examination and counseling. The first question I asked the ex-prisoner was, "How many times were you put in isolation." If the man was never put in isolation, that means he followed the rules at the prison, so perhaps he would follow laws the general public follows. As an example: one man said he was put in solitary the day he got there. He told the warden what he would and would not do, so he was put in solitary right then. He was not going to follow their rules so he likely would not follow laws the general public does.
I say the above to illustrate there is a different culture inside a prison - some become hard and band together to defend their "turf". They will not accept a man who killed a black person, especially since the case was discussed around the world. The Warden who gets this "world famous" white cop, will keep him safe as he does not want this special cop to be killed in his prison.

I'd much rather see a nationwide 168 hour blue-flu if Chauvin is acquitted. Let the police simply stand aside and let the Americans deal with the rioters as Americans should since the police aren't allowed to do what's necessary.

I found out that in our city law enforcement officers can get a 50% discounted mortgage if they live in the home for at least two years.
As luck (?) would have it, a black policeman and family (I think they're all related) moved in next door to us. As far as I know, and I've lived here 30 years, he's the only black officer in our city.

Now, if Chauvin could not be found innocent on all counts, I think the next best thing for him was to be found guilty on all counts. Here's why. First off, it was a mistrial the day the judge decided against a change of venue. No way Chauvin could get a fair trial in Minneapolis, let alone Minnesota. And one might just include the entire USA after what our corrupt media has done.
Now I heard that within the training for the police in Minneapolis, using the knee on the neck to restrain a perp is acceptable. If that is the case, the testimony by the Chief of Police is perjury.
And the fact that Floyd resisted arrest which resulted in his landing on the ground in the predicament he was in, he is solely responsible when one considers he took three times the amount of fentanyl needed to kill an adult human. This may well have been suicide by cop. It certainly paid off for the fam with $27 million going to the family. Even the decision to award this money before the criminal trial in my humble opinion was a violation of Chauvin's rights.
The most despicable thing in all of this is the POS Nancy Pelosi, praising Floyd as a martyr giving his life for justice. Floyd, who spent seven terms in prison for crimes, one of which was holding a knife against the belly of an 8 month pregnant woman. Incredulous just is not a strong enough word. With what these stinking Democommies have done with this trial, what a travesty.
And also there is the failure of the judge to sequester the jury. One more reason for an appeal. When this is fully transacted, Chauvin will be found not guilty. With a medical examiner result of death by fentanyl, Chauvin is not guilty. Of course who knows with the Robert's Supreme Court, a group of dishonest, cowardly, lying lawyers what they will do. Some of them would not know how to spell the word justice!
Judge Pierro from Fox News, her analysis is CRAP!!!!!!! Had the medical examiner determined Floyd died due to the lack of oxygen/suffocation, then I could see the logic of charges against Chauvin. The man died of fentanyl, three times the amount to cause death!!
The ONLY person that was right on target tonight was Candace Owens. If you can hear a clip of her on Tucker Carlson tonight, try to catch it. No nonsense. The rest are not worth listening to for a second. Even Hannity sounds like a network slug.
I know this, every person in blue with 20 years of service + is actively searching for another profession. Good cops will not stay on the job. Blue flu nothing. We will have blue exodus. I would not be surprised if a full one third of all current police leave their jobs in the next 2-3 years.
Now ask yourself, we have a 34% increase in murders across the country I believe, what will it be when we have a mass exodus across the country of folks in blue? I fully expect a 100% increase of murder over where we are, and in places like Chicago and Minneapolis, I can see the national guard being called out and on duty for one year to the tune of ten thousand per city. Otherwise, we will be hearing about 200-300 shot each weekend in Chicago.
As long as we have only lawyers involved in our courts, we will never have justice. With no honesty, there is no justice, and lawyers are less honest as a profession than drug dealers.

I saw him go from under the cop's knee to in the ambulance... So any aid he got was once the EMTs got there. AGAIN, I think that can be defended - I am not accusing. But there was time in which he was in dire trouble and aid was not immediately rendered - That is actionable, even if it can be defended. The rest of the charges are just nonsense.

Another part I'm having difficulty with is that he was convicted on all charges even though the last charge was offered to the jury as an alternative to the first. You can't convicted someone for both grand larceny and petty larceny for a single crime. It's either one or the other.

Another part I'm having difficulty with is that he was convicted on all charges even though the last charge was offered to the jury as an alternative to the first. You can't convicted someone for both grand larceny and petty larceny for a single crime. It's either one or the other.

Yeah. I know all that... Yet he did not render aid when the guy went out. I think that can be defended, don't get me wrong, but of all the charges thrown around, that is the only one I would think might actually have some traction.
As it turns out, I was wrong about that... At least until appeal.
It likely wasn't rendered because the officers were in a defensive stance due to the angry mob threatening them.
And the bottom line is there's nothing any of the officers could have done to keep him from dying. They man killed himself with a combination of bad health and a serious drug overdose.

Chauvin may have used excessive force, but it's still questionable as to whether Floyd died from the pressure on his neck from Chauvin's knee or how much the dangerous level of lethal drugs in Floyd's system and his bad heart killed him.
I'm against knee maneuvers like that, but it was legal at the time. It must have been used in the past without killing a perp or they would have banned it by now.
Nevertheless, given all the factors involved the most Chauvin should have gotten was manslaughter. It was definitely not murder in any degree given Floyd's resisting arrest and very poor health.

The police are less than one percent of the problems of black people. They think it's about 80%.

Imagine being proud of the fact that you were able to corrupt the judicial process by throwing a national tantrum. And now that they were successful, we can expect more and more of this. We will have a two tier justice system - one set of rules for the protected classes, and another for everyone else. Can't wait to see this come back around and bite them on the ass.

There's a very likely cause of death. Three times what is considered a lethal dose of fentanyl along with serious other health issues. There was no factual evidence provided to indicate he would have lived regardless of what the officers had done. There were no physical injuries that anyone could identify caused by the officers pertaining to any use of "excessive force". Reasonable doubt is screaming in the extreme here, which is what is required by law to convict.
This was a travesty of justice. When the laws are no longer the rules of civilization anarchy follows.

The optics looked terrible. Obviously, many people looked at the knee on the neck for nine minutes or whatever and thought that had to be the cause of death.
I'm not saying it wasn't, but the maneuver was legal at the time. That meant it had been used before without causing death. They still didn't prove without a doubt that the knee caused the death.
Again, how can the jury ignore Floyd's dangerous drug level and very bad heart?
"Well" they claim "he was alive before Chauvin put his knee on his neck and dead nine minutes later."
True. That still doesn't prove the knee caused the death. In his very poor state of health and agitated state, Floyd might have died under any police detainment method. Maybe just lying on the ground handcuffed.
But given the kangaroo court atmosphere, Chauvin got a dirty deal.
I'm not saying his knee didn't have any effect of Floyd's dying, I'm just saying he got the shaft from the legal system.

Basically, a juror showing how motivated reasoning really works: she highlights testimony that confirmed her guilty presumption, ignored evidence that contradicted it (to the degree of not even knowing its existence), and mind-read defendant glances as scary "stares".

Dr. Martin Tobin offered testimony on a scenario of vital signs that were not exhibited in Floyd. Unfortunately, the defense attorney failed to challenge that testimony.

I am related to an attorney and they said that pay out of $27 million to George Floyd’s family while the jury was still being picked should’ve had that declared a mistrial right then and there.
Cities don’t like to pay out that much money to people. But if a jury finds a cop guilty, then the city will settle instead of trying to fight A civil case in court and lose more money

Minneapolis does not have that kind of money to just be handing out. Unless they expected something in return. If they had 27 million to give out, why not give it to all the businesses and property that they allowed their voters to destroy
This money was given to influence the jury. There was no guilty or not guilty verdict at the time, and there wasn’t even any negotiation for settlement. Minneapolis is now a fallen city. Whether Chauvin is guilty or not guilty we will never really know. But you don’t have a fair trial in a fallen city full of chaos and Mayhem.
If you ever seen that movie Sin City by Quentin Tarantino, our cities are looking just like that.
