I was pleasantly surprised that a New York City jury found him not guilty, but they did rule correctly based on the circumstance and evidence as how all cases should be decided

In NYC, there will always be a charge against someone that causes the death of another, particularly of a black man. And this act had so much video evidence. The longest video was taken by a Latino journalist who sold it to the highest bidder! That contributed to the hyper prosecution. And the NY media, discounting the NY Post, will always bend toward the stricken black community, lax fathers et al.
BTW- Many of the jury court artist drawings shown are of the full jury (with alternates). They mix all the jurors together in the box. I think the poor suffering alternates should not be in the same box as the ones who will actually do the deliberations. From what I know, it's rare that alternates are called to replace a juror.
The weather will be nicer in NYC this weekend, so protests may still erupt. I would be surprised if none did.
