Israel ramped up its aerial strikes on buildings in downtown Gaza City early Tuesday as the country calls up its reserve military amid an escalating conflict with Hamas — which has killed at least 1,600 people on both sides.

Hamas launched an unprecedented, wide-scale attack on Israeli border settlements early Saturday, catching Israeli forces off guard. The militants continued fighting inside Israel until early Tuesday, the Israeli government said.

Israel claims the Palestinian group, which controls the Gaza Strip, are holding over 150 soldiers and civilians as hostages while the country continues its missile strike campaign against the 140 square-mile area — home to 2.3 million people.

Overnight strikes devastated Gaza City’s Rimal neighborhood, home to some Hamas ministries, but also a university, multiple media organizations and international aid organizations.

Hundreds of missiles over hours rendered much of the district uninhabitable, as buildings were flattened, cars burned and roads unusable.

Israel blames Europe for Hamas attack: EU funded ‘antisemitic propaganda’ at root

European Union leaders have contributed to Hamas terrorism by providing aid to the Palestinians, an Israeli diplomatic official said.

"The European Union was financing textbooks of the Palestinian authorities that were full of antisemitism and incitement for violence and terrorism against Jews,” Israeli Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesman Lior Haiat told reporters Monday. “Those textbooks are the root of the Palestinian terror against Israelis. Young people are being taught, educated, to hate Jews and to murder Jews.”

EU officials announced a review of their aid programs for the Palestinians on Monday in the wake of an unprecedented Hamas surprise attack on Saturday. The shocking incursion left at least 900 hundred Israeli civilians dead, about 2,400 others wounded, and at least dozens more taken hostage as Israeli forces continue to fight the infiltrators and Israeli leaders preparing a diplomatic and military campaign in response.

“To my mind, not since the Holocaust have so many Jews been killed on one day,” Israeli President Isaac Herzog said Monday. “And not since the Holocaust have we witnessed scenes of Jewish women and children, grandparents, even Holocaust survivors, being herded into trucks and taken into captivity.”

“The objective of this review is to ensure that no EU funding indirectly enables any terrorist organization to carry out attacks against Israel,” the EU Commission said. “The Commission will equally review if, in light of the changed circumstances on the ground, its support programs to the Palestinian population and to the Palestinian Authority need to be adjusted.”

The backlash against aid to the Palestinians nonetheless represents a marked shift inside Europe.

“I've not seen a step like this taken by the EU. I think it is significant and meaningful,” Foundation for Defense of Democracies Senior Vice President Jonathan Schanzer told the Washington Examiner. "The Palestinian Authority is getting pulled into this. They are going to have to try to advocate for a soft landing to the current conflict if they want the assistance to continue.”

US not ruling out commando mission to rescue American hostages held by Hamas in Gaza

‘WE WILL DO WHAT WE NEED TO DO’: With 11 Americans confirmed dead at the hands of Hamas terrorists and others feared to be among the hostages Hamas has threatened to execute, the United States has not ruled out conducting a high-risk special operations commando rescue mission if U.S. citizens are confirmed among the kidnapped.

“We take the safety and security of Americans overseas very, very seriously. And you have seen us act as efficiently and effectively as we can to get Americans that are being held hostage or wrongfully detained, in some cases, back home with their families. We will continue to do that in this case as well,” NSC spokesman John Kirby said during a series of media appearances yesterday.

“We do not know with certainty the number of Americans who might be held there,” Jon Finer, deputy national security adviser, said on MSNBC. “We strongly suspect that there were Americans not just among the dead, but among those being held in Gaza at this time.”

“We have to accept the very grim possibility and the likelihood that there are Americans being held hostage,” Kirby said on Fox. “We're in constant touch with Israeli officials right now to try to get a sense of the whereabouts of all the unaccounted-for Americans because who knows where they are or what condition they're in.”

Simple solution: buy and build as many bulldozers as possible, line them all up on the long border with Gaza, and then drive them westward to the sea, pushing everything before them into the water.

Lindsey Graham tells pro-Palestinian 'Squad' to 'shut the hell up' after 'siding with terrorists'

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., blasted far-left lawmakers for their "appeasement" of Iran's regime with pro-Palestinian positions, telling them to "shut the hell up."

At least 11 Americans are reported dead in attacks that included the kidnappings of elderly Israelis and a pledge to broadcast hostage executions if the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) launches retaliatory airstrikes.

Graham told FOX News the U.S. should warn Iran that for every hostage executed by Hamas, an Iranian oil refinery should get bombed. Tehran's oil industry is a key funding source for its malign behavior globally, he said.

"The only way you're going to keep this war from escalating is to hold Iran accountable. How much more death and destruction do we have to take from the Iranian regime? I am confident this was planned and funded by the Iranians," Graham said Monday on "America Reports."

"Hamas is a bunch of animals who deserve to be treated like animals." he added, suggesting Israeli forces should use this opportunity to invade Palestinian territory and "dismantle" the militant group.

Graham also accused President Biden of "appeasement" and said that left-wing lawmakers who have criticized Israel's retaliation against Hamas are "emboldening the enemy."

"To the ‘Squad’: Shut the hell up. You're emboldening the enemy. You're a disgrace to the United States Congress. You're siding with terrorists over a democracy called Israel," he said, adding he believes most of the Democratic conference does not agree with their far-left colleagues.

Biden Tells Americans To Book Their Own Flights Out Of Israel Hours After Airlines Announced Mass Cancellations

Major airlines began canceling their services out of Israel just hours before President Joe Biden told Americans remaining in the country to book a commercial flight if they want to leave after the terrorist organization Hamas invaded.

Biden advised Americans left within Israel Monday to book a commercial flight or utilize ground options if they wish to leave the country. As of Monday evening, American, Delta, United Airlines and Air France have all halted services in and out of Israel after the country declared war on Hamas, according to the Associated Press.

“For American citizens who are currently in Israel, the State Department is providing consular assistance as well as updated security alerts. For those who desire to leave, commercial flights and ground options are still available,” Biden wrote. “Please also take sensible precautions in the days ahead and follow the guidance of local authorities.”

Biden announced late Monday afternoon that at least 11 Americans have been killed in Hamas’ attack and more are believed to have been taken hostage.

American Airlines had stopped its services in and out of Israel through Friday but alerted customers whose flights were canceled of “additional flexibility,” the AP reported. Delta Airlines has halted its flights through the rest of the month but will be monitoring the war and will make adjustments to its guidance as needed.

Several other airlines such as Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Swiss and Brussels Airlines have paused its services until Saturday while the war in Israel develops, The AP reported.

Since the president’s last statement on Saturday afternoon, Biden announced Monday that he has “deployed experts” to help “consult with and advise Israeli counterparts on hostage recovery efforts.”
