Ukraine is a conventional political conflict,while the "Jews versus the A-Rabs" is a Holy War.

I DO get the point you were making though,and agree with what SEEMS to be your implication that Ukraine deserves the same amount of attention from the alleged "free world" as Israel is going to get.

Israeli intelligence missed this attack   This is the second big miss for Israel regarding Gaza.   The first was the extensive and sophisticated network of tunnels out of Gaza which they stumbled on (literally) during the Gaza war in 2014.

Israel has internal politics, as do we (just peruse this thread!).  Elect a Liberal and Israel gets soft on Palestinians policies, and tunnels get built with impunity as Hamas and Hezbollah stockpile weapons until they get a critical mass of ordnance.  Elect a Conservative like Bibi and Pali violence is met with a 10X blow.

This is what we see unfolding before us this black day.  This has been going on since what, 1948?  Back and forth.  My primary fear is what happens when the Palis get the idea that they can actually win this?  That added sense of conviction is what makes this an existential crisis for Israel.

We have a stake, we have supported Israel since there was a modern-day Israel after the Holocaust.  They are one of our must valued Allies.

I really have to wonder how much Israeli intelligence knew and what they didn't know. Risk vs reward. Acceptable losses vs crushing Hamas now instead of waiting for Hamas gaining heavier and/or more weaponry from the Iranians, Taliban, etc.

How many times did the Israeli politicians stop the settlers from defending themselves in the past? I support Israel, but they have pussyfooted so many times now... let the settlers fight back without being handicapped. 

Also... concerning Trump and North Korea, the best thing that happened to Trump was NK blew up it's test facility (thus slowing themselves down)... Trump did nothing except claim a win where none was to be claimed.

Israel needs to claim buffer zone areas around the country, throw out the Islam folks and let those countries that claim to love them deal with them.

Israeli intelligence shouldn't be let off the primary hook here.  Monitoring Hamas & Friends is their existential responsibility. That they missed this multi-front attack should also raise a question or two about the scope and parameters of our reliance on Israeli intelligence.

Trump cut off funds to the Palestinians, unleashed unprecedented peace initiatives in the Abraham Accords, killed the Iran deal, was starving the Iranian regime of resources with crushing sanctions, and Biden not only reversed it all, including funding the Palestinians and Iran, but undermined Netanyahu at every turn, refused to meet with him, demanded that Israel make more concessions to the Palestinians. Appeasement and worse has consequences.
